"We found the property clean but lacking, certainly not "Superb". The decor was sparse e.g. bare light bulbs. Negatives Bathroom: no mirror, no towel rails, only one hand towel in the property for three. Kitchen: Two sets of knives & forks for three, no large glasses or wine glasses, no fire blanket/extinguisher, no downstairs smoke alarm I could spot. Small bedroom: no hanging space, one plug socket (used by lamp), only one half of a pair of curtains. Large bedroom: two hangers on a...

"The lodge was perfect. Spotlessly clean and pretty and everything you could need. However what made our holiday absolutely perfect was the garden the lodge is set in. Stunningly beautiful, magical grounds that you could see from all sides of the lodge. With a folly perfect for an outdoor fire and BBQ. Central to all of the North East and Durham attractions. I have been twice now and can’t wait to go again. Magical!"

"All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. Amazing good hotel.

"Amazing hotel, lovely and homely with such fantastic staff. The hotel was overlooking the valley and we had a super room overlooking the valley and the viaduct in the distance. We had a day of snow & a power cut but the staff were fantastic. We were made to feel welcome ,the food in the Antler restaurant was amazing good quality and plentiful and the breakfast even had fried bread ! Total winner !!! Only niggles was there is quite a few stairs & if you got a lot of luggage you will be better to let them know at reception cos you are up & down so many. Will be back soon."
