Rivendell Log Cabin - walk into RMNP! Continental Divide Views! Large Hot Tub!

Larimer County License: 20-NCD0279 Rivendell is our traditional mountain log cabin home with plenty of comfortable acreage and amazing mountain views of the Continental Divide in Rock Mountain National Park! We have a new 7 person hot tub too! We offer a beautiful log-paneled living room with two story ceilings. and a fully equipped kitchen for entertaining. Our favorite room is the sun porch, with ceiling to floor windows looking out at the forest and including stunning views of Mount Ypsilon, Fairchild Mountain, and Chiquita Peak. We spend hours here each morning enjoying the views of mountains, forest, and various wildlife on our 2 ½ acre property. Our guests have seen deer, elk, turkey, moose, black bears and wonderful birds, rabbits and chipmunks.

The outdoor porches are accessed through doors on either side of the sun porch, as well as the front and side doors of the main living room. Grill your favorite meats and vegetables on our outdoor grill located on the side porch by the dining area. This main level has 1 king bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower, 1 queen bedroom, small washer and dryer, sun porch, kitchen, dining and living room with fireplace and front and side outdoor porches with fantastic views.

From the living room, a log stairway leads to the upper level Master Bedroom. This bedroom has two closets, a king bed and a private porch with spectacular views. The bathroom boasts a steam shower and two sinks. A small living area with couches, a table and picture window looking out to the fabulous mountains also looks down to the living room below. On the other side is an open loft bedroom with a trundle bed and closet.

The basement boasts a living room which has 2 couches (one is a sleeper sofa) and a kitchenette with an extra large washer and dryer and also a dinette for eating or playing games. Private king and queen bedrooms with ensuite baths occupy this floor along with an outdoor entrance to a patio with beautiful views.

The unique layout of our cabin accommodates 14 people, but feels cozy enough for two.

The four living areas are perfect for togetherness or privacy, whichever is preferred.

We have outside Security Cameras monitoring the outside door accesses.

Also—be sure to check out our other property in Estes Park, "Bella Vista" at 6600 Highway 7 in front of Longs Peak! VRBO #1781837 is a beautiful mountain home plus two small cabins situated on 12 private acres with a majestic view of Long’s Peak.

Nice large house in a great location
There were 10 adults for this trip and we all had enough room. The bedrooms are a nice size and the living spaces were wonderful (especially the porch area). It was nice that we were so close to RMNP too, as we were hiking every day. Highly recommend it.

Amazing Accommodation
Family from CA, AZ, and WA came together to stay for our brother's wedding and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kids had a blast exploring the outdoor space and playing in the game rooms. The beds were so comfy and the amazingly stocker kitchen worked well to cook many meals for many people. Would absolutely stay again.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were 6 adults and 6 children. There was plenty of space and the view was amazing. The property grounds are beautiful as well. The kitchen was stocked with every cooking essential you might want. We would rent this property again.

A wonderful retreat on the doorstep of rocky mountain national park
Absolutely stunning place. Wonderfully proportioned to allow for personal space and also full group gatherings in common areas. Myself and a few couples stayed here over a long weekend and greatly enjoyed being able to walk out the front door and a few steps later be snowshoeing in RMNP. Overall exactly what we had hoped for in an estes park cabin!

Fantastic wedding get together
We couldn’t have been more pleased with the service, location and property. Everything we had hoped for to have family stay together as we celebrated a wedding in Estes Park. Coffee overlooking the mountains and hummingbirds on the balcony. Heaven!

Family vacation in Estes
Took the kids and grandkids for a few days getaway and stayed in this amazing cabin. So much room for the family as far as bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. Kitchen very well stocked with all the utensils and such to cook like it was one's own kitchen. The back enclosed porch was the family favorite - watching the hummingbirds and view of the Rocky Mountains - just beautiful. I recommend this cabin to anyone.

Beautiful property that worked so well for our family. If there is any feedback is that it was dusty, and some of the washers/dryers weren't working well. Property manager was very attentive and took very good care of us.

Lovely location
Family gathering of ages 6-18. (Kids) and adults, grandparents. Even though the cabin is on the main road, it’s quiet with great views. Games for kids, great outside eating area, sunroom with amazing views, upstairs deck with great views. Kids had fun in ping pong room, exploring property. Kitchen well equipped, beds comfy, nice location to the national park, YMCA camp and town. Really enjoyed our stay.

Awesome
This cabin was so great for our large family. The location was perfect and close to RMNP and Estes Park. Wildlife in the back yard most every day. We had no problems with the cabin, but had to contact Sharon, the manager, just for a couple of things and she quickly responded and helped us. We will return to this cabin again if we can. Absolutely wonderful!

Great House in Nice Quiet Location
We had two families with small children and this home was a perfect fit. Home is very well appointed with nice furniture, linens, stocked kitchen and everything you need for your vacation. Behind the house at bottom of the hill we found some beaver ponds with tons of brook trout that made for some great fly fishing! Location was great. Just far enough from town to feel like you were not apart of the all of tourist traps, but close enough to be able to access shopping and restuarants when needed. We definitely recommend Rivendell!

Fantastic Stay with Family
We had an awesome week with our family in Estes Park. Our oldest son was getting married at the YMCA of the Rockies and this could not have been a more perfect location for us to stay. We all wanted to stay in a house together to enjoy the week but still be close to the YMCA for the different wedding events we had planned. The house was very well stocked, beds were comfortable and we loved the view from the back sun room. Our only challenge was the only way to get to the sunroom was through a bedroom or go outside along the porch.

Excellent for Large Family Gathering!
The listing was exactly as advertised. Everything we needed was available, communication about access, wifi, instructions, etc was perfect and the cabin MORE than lived up to our expectations. The owner had to pop by a couple times to access the garage and I was always notified beforehand so there were no surprises and it didn’t inconvenience us in any way. Loved the views, the privacy, the number of spaces we could use for gathering together, and the decks. You can’t go wrong with this place!

Family vacation
The house was great and having bedrooms on three different levels was fantastic. Location was a little far from the main town area but we enjoyed the quietness and views. There were 8 of us staying there --- my husband and myself along with kids and friends ranging from ages 19 -31 so all the bedrooms worked out great. There are only 2 items which kept me from giving a 5 star rating -- no cell phone service which was difficult when we were trying to do different things and reach each other and no hot tub. It would also be a great place to come in the winter time.

Rivendell did not disappoint!
Our family truly were blown away by the stunning views of the Rocky Mountains from the porch and master bedroom deck of Rivendell. The house had every amenity we could possibly enjoy including two picnic tables. We really enjoyed eating our meals outdoors on these tables while enjoying the many deer grazing the property and views of the surrounding mountains. Also enjoyed the sounds of birdsong and insects emanating from the land around Rivendell, which is kept natural. We have a family member who is wheelchair bound and it was very easy for her to navigate the house. Can’t recommend Rivendell highly enough! Lots of great memories made this trip.

Perfect Family Mountain Home - 3 separate levels
We stayed here with a family in age ranges from grandparents to kids ages 3-10. This home makes it easy to gather together or for some family to get seclusion with multiple floors and tons of sitting spaces inside and out. The outdoor views in all directions are fantastic - images online can’t capture the view of mountain range. This home offers overall seclusion but access to the National Park and downtown Estes are a few minutes away. The kitchen was stocked with more than the average accommodations for cooking and grilling home meals all week. My parents could live all week in the enclosed “back porch” with views and plenty of seating. Would strongly recommend and hope to bring our family back here in the future.

Family Vacation
First of all this is one of the best maintained homes I have ever stayed in. The cleanliness was topnotch. It was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. The sights from cabin were awsome. Second even tho we ran into a small maintenance problem, our property manager Steve Ferrante went above and beyond to quickly resolve the situation and we cannot say enough of what good a job he did. My family and I would recommend this property or any he manages to anyone. We will definitely be back. The old saying goes you get what you pay for. Well this property worth every penny I paid for it.

Beautiful Home Away from Home
Great experience! We would love to come back here and stay again. We found it a great place to come with small children as our group had 6 kids under the age of 8. They had a blast playing in the back yard. One adult in our party requires a walker while inside and handicap accessibility. The ramp to the porch made it easy for him to get where he needed with his power wheelchair and then once inside found it easy to get around with his walker on the main level. Because of this, he could participate and not feel excluded from family activities. Be aware there are no grab bars by the toilet or in the shower on the main level bath which is where anyone with mobility issues would have to stay.

The PERFECT Place for our Run Away Marraige
This property is SO amazing and hosted by a wonderfully attentive family. The home sits on a beautifully picturesque scene for whichever angle you look. It's spacious and has enough room for us all to be together or to taper off and relax one on one. The wildlife was unlike any other and we were able to see elk, deer and bobcats and had the chance to see bear tracks. It's about a brisk walk away from a trail head that has a beautiful hike to some breathtaking views. The owners of this property are so wonderful! They made it extremely easy to access the property, gave wonderful tips and tricks for us and even madea point to check in to make sure we made it in the home. They were a joy to rent from and unlike any other host I've come in contact with. The Newly Wed Ginzel Family will ABSOLUTELY be back to celebrate. We're so thankful to have found this home and the family that hosts it.
