This condo was perfect for a quickly planned, surprise December mini vacation to Estes. We wanted something private, close to Rocky Mountain National Park, and affordable with a fireplace and hot tub, and this condo fit the bill. The gas fireplace emitted a lot of heat and made the condo so cozy (plus, we didn’t need to purchase firewood; another bonus). We were never cold and always comfortable, especially with the the extra blankets provided and responsive thermostat. Extra fans and portable heaters were provided, but not needed. The kitchen featured everything you would need to make a meal, including: all pots, pans, cutlery, dishes, and modern appliances. The dishwasher was not only big but QUIET. The bed was a firm, comfy and BIG king-sized bed, which is hard to find in Estes. The whole condo was appointed with cute & sturdy mountain & bear-themed furniture and decorations; again, nice little touches that made the trip extra special. We had absolutely no issues with water pressure or water temperature in either bathroom, one of which featured a walk-in, stand up shower (a nice feature for those who have hard times stepping in and out of bathtubs). The staff was friendly and speedy when we rented free movies (The Shining, of course) from the lodge; the property manager answered all of my questions promptly prior to check-in, and check-out was a breeze. Additionally, the condo was clean, clearly disinfected before our arrival, and even had sanitation wipes for our use, which was so thoughtful this year. The view from the private deck was AMAZING. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and the only sound in the morning was that of the snow-covered river flowing below us. We would definitely consider staying here again for a winter trip to Estes!
