In the center of town with views of Longs Peak
REG #3186 Please read our cancellation policy before booking. Purchase insurance for any unforeseen issues. NO PETS. Egbert s Cabin has a perfect location just north of the center of town with a deck and views of Longs Peak and the downtown sites. Enjoy the private hot tub year round. Park your car and walk to all the shops, restaurants, activities and River Walk from our own private steps that lead to the center of town. This cabin is part of our group of 5 cabins built in the early 1900's by my Great Great Grandfather LR Taylor and his 4 children. They picked the perfect spot for their summer vacations and now we can make memories here as well. We have updated the cabins and put in modern bathrooms and added decks. We are just minutes away from both entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park. Enjoy all that Estes Park has to offer year round from this perfectly located cabin. This cabin does have steps leading down to it from the parking area so it is not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. Please look at all photos so you see what this cabin has to offer. There is a steep hill leading down to the parking area. Winter snow and ice can make it difficult to get out. We have snow removal after 2 inches of snow, but 4WD is necessary. No trailers, large vehicles or RV's. Parking is tight! None of these cabins has AC, but fans are included and the nights always cool down in the 50's. If Egbert's Cabin does not work for you then check out either Mabel's Cabin, VRBO# 305289, Nell's Cabin, VRBO# 788667 or The Nutshell VRBO #1717433.

We stayed here on a little weekend getaway with our kids. The cabin is rustic, but had everything we needed. The views from the deck and hot tub are beautiful and it’s a 1-2 minute walk to the Main Street to shops and restaurants. We loved our stay here!
Once we parked we never had to move our car and were still able to explore most of Estes! The hottub view is perfect, well worth the ice sicles in the hair;). Nothing fancy inside, but outside is where it is at when in Estes!! Loved our stay here!
My family absolutely loved the cabin! My kids loved having their own room with separate beds. My husband and I loved the fact that everything we needed was provided in cabin(cooking and cleaning supplies).
Short walk to downtown Estes Park. The view from the deck of the Rocky Mountains wonderful in the morning and evening. We used the hot tub every day. Nice way to relax muscles after completing the Sky Pond trail walk.
We loved the rustic feel and location of this property. Walking distance to all the restaurants and shops, scenic views and wildlife to take in. The cabin was very clean with all the necessities needed for our stay. Cute little kitchen, comfortable beds and easy access to laundry and reserved parking spot(s). We had just a wonderful time and can't wait to return for another visit. Highly recommend.
Everything was sufficient. The stairway leading down was very convenient as we ended up walking down instead of driving. I did slip and fall one time though due to all the snow and ice.
It was wonderful to wake each morning to a spacious deck that housed a wonderful hot tub. The mountain and Estes Park view was great! With just 1 1/2 blocks to all the action downtown it was so convenient yet private. The cottage is not wheel chair accessible nor would work well for someone with mobility issues. Though we loved our stay and the quaintness of the cottage there were many details that have been left to the wayside. There were many blinds needing repair, the lock box was tricky to use. None of the solar stair lights were in working condition and our outside lights didn’t work. With the sun going down early this was a big safety concern navigating the very steep steps coming back from downtown. For the price these are details that should be better managed. The hot tub needed cleaning and Throw pillows were gross. We loved the history of the cottages and overall loved our stay!

Cute place but beware!

We stayed 3 nights at this property. Two teenagers, me and my husband. The place was cute had charm and had everything you need. Walked to town strip a block away and had a pretty view. Our stay was nice until 30 minutes after we left…
Got there the first day and just relaxed and had dinner walked around and used hot tub for about an hour. Hot tub had a little sand in bottom and as we sat in it the debris from the tree dropped on us a little. Still enjoyable. The next two nights we did same thing only we went to Rmnp. Hot tub was nice but still the same. We closed it up and did a good job cleaning the rental for check out only to get a text about 30 minutes after we left telling us that one of the maintenance people saw us putting a dog in our car and that we were going to be charged a pet fee Of $250 as well as the hot tub was so dirty that it had to be drained and we were gonna be charged $150 for that. The hot tub cleaning fee was charged to my card without my approval, and the pet fee was put in to be charged at almost the same time. I contacted the host and proceeded to tell them that the hot tub was dirty when we got there and we don’t own an animal, So how could we sneak one into our car?? Figure this was reason for hot tub charge (imaginary dog). This was a disappointing end to what was a nice stay. Host apologized and charges were refunded within a week. Never going back
We loved the charm of this old cabin. It is updated with modern amenities so it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location for us was perfect for spending time in town, as we could walk anywhere we wanted to be. The kitchen had all we needed, the Wi-Fi was excellent, and the beds were very comfortable. Check in was very easy. It is definitely on our list of places to stay again.
This was a geeat location to downvand a very short drive to the Rocky mountain entrance. The house was clean and had everything we needed. My only disappointment was the shower curtain was gross. There should be a clean shower curtain just like the sheets. Also the shower head you had to hold the whole time or water would go everywhere. Other then that we very much enjoyed our stay.
The cabin is a bit rustic, which we expected and had no issues with. There is no air, but with the fans and the windows open it wasn't a problem (a little bit trickier in the queen bedroom having no cross-ventilation). As noted in the listing there are many stairs so beware if that is an issue. The only recommendation I would make is there there isn't really lighting on the deck that I found and we had to bring our own out when using the hot tub, etc. Great location for walking into town and for reaching Rocky Mountain National Park. Everything went smoothly and it was a nice, easy stay.
Jeep rock crawling up rock creek trail and Switzerland trail. Horseback riding witnessing two bull elk clashing. Hiking in the gem that is RMNP and shivering on the trail ridge road. Lastly relaxing in the hot tub looking out over town under the gaze of Long's Peak. Egbert's cabin 140 has everything and provides the best location being only steps from town.
I would absolutely stay here again when visiting RMNP.
The location is outstanding! The only place we drove to after arriving was RMNP and other than that we walked everywhere. The Indian restaurant and pizza place right across street were both excellent. Our favorite thing about this place was the hot tub and the views :)
The only thing that I can suggest is new comforters for all the beds. They all had a few small stains on them. Other than that the place was extremely clean. We will for sure rent again in the future.
The cabin was perfect for our family of 3. The beds were comfortable and the location and view was just perfect. We loved being able to just walk into town whenever we felt like it and not fight with parking or traffic. Sitting out on the deck and watching the people in town with Longs Peak in view was a great way to unwind after a day in the park. The owners were quick to have someone come get the heater up and running again and were super responsive.
This property was an older, rustic house but it was quite comfortable. It was pretty clean. I didn't rate the cleanliness a 5 because a towel was clean but had something stuck on it that didn't come out in the wash. Everything else was fine and I'd stay in this little house again. The location was excellent. You just go down some steps and you are pretty much in downtown Estes Park.
What a great location! We enjoyed looking over town from the deck in the evenings, and having two bedrooms and two baths helped a ton in getting ready to head out in the mornings! Thank you for all the clear directions and cabin-personal parking spots. A nice place to stay!

Hot!
Pros: Proximity to Rocky Mountain NP. Nice deck. Cons: a LOT of steps down to(and up from) parking. Had to back up the mountain on a narrow road to get out.(some jerk had the small turnaround blocked our whole trip). Super small kitchen w/no counter space. Super small commodes. One tv. Worn out beds/furniture. LOUD/CREAKY floors. HOT! NO AC! Temp hit 93 on our mid-June trip. Cabin too hot to stay in during day, too hot to sleep at night. There was 2 small fans, but…. It gets cool at night in EP, but only one of our windows was high enough off the ground to open at night. Anyway, we saw most of RMNP!
