Our historic, updated and cozy cabin makes a great retreat and base of operations for exploring the Rocky Mountains and the Estes Valley. Come experience the majesty of Rocky Mountain National Park, the abundance of elk, and the quaint village of Estes Park!
Awesome views of the Rocky Mountains and wildlife wandering through the front yard are yours from this clean and comfortable, vintage cabin. Conveniently located less than a mile from the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance and within a mile from the heart of downtown Estes Park, you can come home after a fun day of hiking, shopping, or exploring and relax in the spacious living room by the wood-burning moss-rock fireplace. The living room also has two cozy leather couches, leather chair with ottoman, coffee table, elk horn chandelier, flat screen TV with Dish Satellite, DVD player, and wireless Internet service. We have added new fur pillows and fur throw blankets in the living room -- we think you’ll love curling up on the leather couches with these!
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for meal preparation (including a new Samsung full-sized stainless four-burner stove/oven, refrigerator, quiet new Bosch stainless dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and basic coffee supplies, toaster, pots and pans, crockpot, dishes, glassware, cooking utensils, silverware, spices and linens) with an adjacent dining area. The dining table seats 6 people comfortably.
You can also barbeque using the full-size Weber charcoal grill and dine outdoors in Summer and Fall. Kick back on the Adirondack chairs on the front deck and soak up the views of Long's Peak, Mt. Meeker, Twin Sisters and more.
One bedroom on the main level has a queen bed with down comforter, plenty of closet space, walls finished with knotty pine and windows for a great view of the mountains. Custom-made Murphy bed with brand new double mattress in the living room sleeps two more. There is also a twin bed in an alcove off the living room.
One full bath with tub/shower and plenty of towels provided. The bathroom is stocked with a travel-sized hairdryer, small sample sizes of soaps and lotions, etc. We provide a few rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, several dinner napkins and a box of tissues to get you started, but you may need to buy more paper products depending on the length of your stay.
Laundry room has a washer and dryer. We provide laundry detergent for a couple of wash loads, but you may need to buy more soap during your stay. There is also a travel-sized ironing board, an iron, cleaning supplies and trash bags stored in the cupboards above the washer and dryer.
We keep in the living room closet a portable crib with fitted sheets and blankets, a highchair and a back-pack style child carrier for your use at no additional charge.
Enjoy your mountain get-away in a comfortable, rustic cabin nestled at the base of 14,000-foot peaks. Gorgeous mountain views and wildlife such as elk, coyote, deer and rabbit are yours for year-round viewing from the cabin. We provide you with recommendations for hikes, activities and restaurants here in Estes Park, and we also keep maps and brochures in the cabin for your reference.
