Very clean and spacious, bedrooms large and lots of bathrooms. Kitchen well stocked with dishes. Great central location. Hot tub great for those who used it. Great family reunion place.
We enjoyed our stay at Kyla’s place. We had a large group…many couples and a few small children. The property is convenient to downtown and easily walkable to a couple of real good spots. We used many if not all of the amenities. A lot of nice touches included. Kyla is very responsive and helpful. Will look into this space again next time we come to Estes Park!
We had a memorable week! The house was a perfect fit for our blended family and friends! There was plenty of space for everyone and multiple people were able to get ready and attend the wedding. The large family room was great for all of us to hang out. The beds and bathrooms were perfectly suited for everyone! We would highly recommend.
This house not only comfortably slept our group of 16, it also had adequate dishes, towels, seating for us all to be together - a rare find! The location is not super walkable, but we did have an elk siting right out the front door. Hot tub garage space was so fun for the kids, and we were a short drive from all our vacation plans.
We stayed here for a week to celebrate my now husband and I’s elopement in RMNP with a small group of our friends and family. The cabin was perfect for our group! Very spacious and close to everything! The number of bedrooms/bathrooms was awesome. Great stay!
We had 12 family members including an infant, a toddler and 4 kids between 6-10. It was plenty spacious for us to enjoy a 4 day stay.
Exactly as advertised near the RMNP and downtown Estes Park. We would stay again.
My friends and I are all Colorado locals and were simply looking to go out of town for a weekend. The directions were simple and easy to understand and the hosts were on top of responding to our every query. We had a great time overall and I would highly recommend for anyone looking to get out for a weekend.
Things of Note:
Bedrooms - Most of the bedrooms were similar in size which made it easy distributing rooms.
Kitchen - The kitchen is fairly small (only 2-3 people max can cook at a time) but was fully stocked with everything we needed including spices, coffee and cooking materials.
Hot Tub - The hot tub was located in a detached garage which made getting to it a little difficult as few of us brought water shoes. I recommend bring slides of some sort. Additionally, there were several towels but they were quickly used so I recommend bringing your own if you have a large group coming.
Wildlife - We saw several does and one or two bucks throughout our stay. They were very cute and very friendly. The deer will stay out of your way and not cause issues.
Our family has visited Estes Oark many times over the last 50 years. It’s our favorite vacation spot. We had never been there in the winter. We decided to make it a destination Christmas and Estes was our first choice. We had 5 couples and 3 teens. It was perfect for our family. Older home but well kept and cutely decorated.
We stayed for 4 nights with our kids, another adult and 2 seniors. The layout of the house gave us all semi-private areas for sleeping and bathing. The main floor bedrooms are split 2 and 2 on either side of the kitchen/dining/living and each set of bedrooms has a bathroom. The basement has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This was a nice set up for 3 generations to share the space.
The house is not in a "cute neighborhood," but it felt like a safe location and is conveniently located for accessing all areas of Estes Park and RMNP. This is not the house to pick for sweeping views from the yard, but if you plan to be out and about enjoying nature and adventuring the interior is very clean and comfortable, serves as a great "home base" for rocky mountain exploration.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
Good sleeping arrangements for extended family, but various issyes
This VRBO was perfectly adequate. It slept extended family, including 14 guests, with its generous number of bedrooms and baths. But it was lacking in other areas, and we didn’t want to spend any more time there than we had to.
If half stars were possible, would be 3.5 rating.
PROS:
*Very* communicative host/property manager! Really appreciated quick responses.
Ample parking for several cars.
Easy to find — right off main roads. Convenient.
If you’re looking for a house for a large group to sleep and mainly spend time elsewhere, this is a reasonable solution.
CONS:
The location is not true “walking distance” to downtown. It would be a *very* long walk, impossible for several in our party.
The location is industrial, with metal trailers and big satellite dishes around the property. Not a neighborhood and not scenic.
Common areas were inadequate for large group. Kitchen and living room seating not enough for gathering / hanging out. Same with outdoor seating. Kitchen tiny, not big enough for multiple people to prep group meals at once.
Poor airflow (no screens on large doors, no ceiling fans in two upstairs beds, etc) made for uncomfortable sleeping in heat wave.
Encountered infrastructure issues (stove broke — but property managers did replace same day, which was great; a broken kitchen fridge, had to use fridge outside kitchen); leaking water in basement; downstairs shower temps either too hot or too cold).
*3.5 stars
Everything was pretty much as it looked online except for the yard and location! The yard was non existent and the location online looked to be more woodsy. The house was perfect for our needs!
The house was very clean and well stocked with supplies and games. The bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderful! Plenty of room for everyone! The house is in a commercial area surrounded by businesses. The listing make it seem like there is a beautiful view, but that view is only from one small bedroom window. I am not sure the deck is safe to use. Also I don't think it is really walking distance from town unless you can walk up a hill. Luckily for us, we spent very little time in the house, but spent our time in the mountains!
We loved staying here! The location was perfect for us. Close drive to RMNP, walking distance to Estes town, lake, and grocery store. The house was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable! Our large multiage family enjoyed all the bathrooms, game room and extra spaces in the house. The owners were easy to contact and work with. We loved watching Elks in the driveway one morning! We had a great time!
It was fairly clean and my only negative would be that the property location was a little misleading in that the location was in an odd location not mountainous but next to business.
This is such a wonderful house in a great location close to downtown! We had a large group, 8 adults and 6 kids, and we had plenty of room for everyone. House was super clean and beautifully decorated. Definitely hoping to come back!
Myself and a few of my buddies stayed for a guys trip to do some SxS rentals and visit RMNP. Location was close to downtown. House was ample in size and clean. Would happily stay again.
