Charming Mountain Getaway, 5 minutes to Downtown Estes Park

3 Bed/3 bath-Extra ordinary Mountain Views and close to downtown!
Registration Number 3211
Ideal family, mountain getaway. You will love your stay at Northridge Nest, a spacious ranch-style home, that sits on a large lot in a quiet, established neighborhood with wide open spaces and dramatic views of the continental divide. The interior of the home has been remodeled with a new kitchen, and all three baths have been renovated. New carpet and floor coverings were added throughout in 2015. We also listen to guest recommendations and have added screen doors to both sliding doors in the house, and replaced wifi modem to be more efficient and high speed.
Property highlights:
Game room, featuring a ping pong table, bar and television and table, in garage is a family favorite! Kids can be entertained for hours while adults can enjoy the relaxing views. It’s a wonderful place to make memories. Owners continually update furniture, paint, linens and dishes to keep the home feeling clean, comfortable and modern. Updates are made every year! Home is professionally cleaned, top to bottom, in between every guest.
Bedroom highlights:
The rooms are tastefully decorated with quality linens and furnishings. Every window has mountain views! Wake up to elk in yard surrounding the property. The master bedroom features a king bed, with private full bath adjacent, featuring two vanities. Bedroom two also has a king, with a shared ¾ bath. The third bedroom is exceptionally large, with two queen beds, and a private full bath with double vanity and a large walk-in closet. Walk in closet is large enough for pack n play or extra storage. In addition there is a queen air mattress located in the closet. All bedrooms have TVs with Dish Network satellite services, and one bedroom has a Blue Ray DVD player and ROOK player with 300+ movies free to watch.
Kitchen highlights:
Ideal for cooking a large holiday meal, the updated eat-in kitchen has new cabinets and fixtures, and is well equipped with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, crock pot and cooking utensils. If you read the reviews the home is complimented for being the “best stocked kitchen”. There is also a dinette set that seats six, a bar with two stools, and a formal dining room with seating for eight. The kitchen has an electric range/oven, over the oven hooded microwave, refrigerator with cold water and ice maker, and dishwasher.
Outdoor area:
The large patio, adjacent to the kitchen, has a gas grill, 2 sets of table and chairs, and an awesome 360 degree view of the continental divide. Grilling a meal outside is a must during summer months!
Living Space:
The living room is large and open with a portable gas fireplace, a large sofa and chair, so the entire family can watch the new Sony 46” High Definition TV, Satellite High Definition DirecTV service, with local, sports and movie channels, ROKU-Netflix movie library with 300+ movies and High Definition Blue Ray DVD Player with Pandora Radio and NETFLIX movies. Board games, DVD movies, books, and many other extra comforts of home are included.
Accessibility:
There is an expansive feeling in the house because the rooms are all so spacious, and with the exception of five steps at the front entrance and two at the back, there are no stairs.
Amenities:
High-speed wireless internet is provided and a large desk is provided in case you need to conduct business while on vacation.
There is a laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer as well.
Extras for families with kids include a pack n'play and high chair.
The oversized garage even features a ping-pong table!
This home is convenient to Estes Park, only a mile from the eastern edge of town, just off Highway 34, on a paved road. There are nice views of mountains from every angle of the yard, and deer and elk frequently congregate on the lawn.
Please, take a moment to read our fabulous reviews! We want you to have a wonderful stay at this house and do our best to ensure that you are happy!

Great house for families
The house was very clean. Plenty of room and things to do provided. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes ,glasses, cookware and utensils! My family was very comfortable. The location was perfect for visiting the national park as well as restaurants and grocery store. A unexpected and fun group of visitors also came with the rental. A herd of 19 elk visited every day!!

Wonderful house. Quiet neighborhood. Found things missing or broken Front stoop is dangerous. I fell watching elk because there was no railing where there was a step down at the front door.

We had six of us, my husband and I as well as his two sisters and their husbands, that gathered together to enjoy family time as well as exploring Estes Park And Rocky Mountain NP. The house was very spacious and comfortable for all of us. The kitchen is well stocked as well. I will point out that the house could use a bit of sprucing up and there is a musty smell inside. Overall we enjoyed our stay and having the elk in the yard with us was fun.

Spacious and comfortable
7 adults enjoyed staying comfortably at the cabin. Great location, especially for this time of year. We drove through herds of elk to get to the cabin more than once. We would use this cabin again if with a large group again. Also seemed to have lots of stuff for young children.

Nice, but needs work
2 couples, near 65, we travel lots. The first impression is rough, as the grass hasn’t been mowed in a long time. The facia boards on the front of the house need paint in a BIG WAY. There was a big, sticky stain right in front of the front door, which we had to dodge all week. Inside was as advertised, quite spacious. The Direct TV wasn’t working Saturday and until we texted Karine (Property Mgr) on Monday after getting back from RMNP. Karine contacted the owner, and the bill was paid quickly. We had to do a work around until then. My biggest problem was the horrible pillows. Nothing close to a medium, they were all paper thin. The other couples’ biggest issue was the hot water as they showered. It would go from hot to ice cold in the blink of an eye. Seems they use a recirculating hot water system to heat the place, and it pulls water as needed/ when needed. The other couple also reported some sort of short in the master bedroom ( he’s a literal rocket scientist). The last negative from me (an old hotel guy for 38 years) is the threat of being charged $25 if we didn’t empty our own trash cans on departure day. We paid a substantial cleaning fee, and they can’t empty the trash?! I thought that was absurd. The ladies stressed how clean the place was inside. Other than the things mentioned above, it’s a nice place. Quite a lot of space, and the furnishings were comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied with silverware, pots, and pans.

Wonderful stay
Great visit and the location was perfect. Quiet neighborhood. The not so good: * One of the dryers i(laundry closet) not working. Puts out heat but doesn’t tumble. * Backdoor screens are falling off of tracks. * Airbed may have a leak. It deflated during the night. Finally. I broke one of wine glasses.

Quality Family Time
We were three families who stayed in the property for a week. Check-in was easy. The location of the house was quiet and had fantastic views of the mountains. It was also not too far from downtown. The amenities were complete, and everyone had enough space for themselves. My toddler absolutely loved the converted garage/game room and spent many hours playing and making art in the kid's table.

We loved this place! It was great to be able to stay at Eagle’s Nest. It was only a 45 minute drive for us. The garage had been made into a playroom and the kids loved having their own space. Everything was as described. The house was close to downtown so we could make as many trips as necessary. It was close to hiking areas. We will stay here again mid the opportunity arises.

Excellent location
Our family of five visited for five nights during the 4th of July week. Pros: Excellent location (close to both the town and RMNP), quiet neighborhood, plenty of space, kids enjoyed the game area in garage space, wildlife in the surrounding area (elk, deer) sometimes in the yard. For those visiting during the 4th of July, you can see the fireworks from the back yard. Quick responses from the property manager pre check in. Cons: The house is a dated and it's probably time for a refresh on appliances and some furniture. This house does not have AC which is probably okay 300 days of the year but it was very warm in the home for several days during our visit (85F indoors). We did open windows and use box fans but some windows needed to be propped open and held with items we could find around the home because the tension springs didn't work (again, probably time to replace windows in the home). There were lots of fans provided, most worked, and using them at night helped to keep the house cooler. Again, the description of the home does not state that it has an AC, so this was clear. Just wanted to raise the point and recommend either installing an AC or upgrading windows since this is a rental property, and given the premium per night rate, should not require as much work for the tenants who are on vacation (many other homes in the neighborhood have AC). We were also a little disappointed with the lack of some normal supplies, shampoo, conditioner, coffee, etc that we see at many other VRBOs where we've stayed. This required us to make a few extra trip to the chaotic Safeway in town.

Good all around space
Property was very useful and enjoyable. Open area a little outside of town makes for a quick commute to get necessary items and then be away from busy Estes Park. RMNP access to Lumpy Ridge and RMNP entrance gates are about a 15min drive making this an ideal base camp for excursions/rock climbs into the park. Property also has a game room/multiple common areas to ensure a fun/relaxing even with friends.
