"John welcomed us and was a remarkable host. We stayed in six different accomodations on this trip and this one was by far our favorite. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Parking is free and convenient. John gave us a great dining recommendation which was within an easy 8-10 minute walk. We would love to stay here again. "Its a quiet place not even a lot of visiable staff. Check in is a different process, but worth it. We had a basement room which definitely insulated us from some of the noise. The street outside is fairly busy, however not prohibitably so. The train station is directly across the street with easy access to the boston to rockport line with stops in Salem, which is why we were there. Already planning a return trip and this is a place we are thinking of staying."
