"The address given is not accurate and it took us ages to find, we had to hope that the host read the messages, he then gave us the address. This is listed as an English speaking host which is not accurate. We struggled to communicate. The place is advertised with a pool but this was out of bounds due to the drought, we understand this but we should have known before arrival. We had no hot water at all during our stay and we could not contact the host despite messaging and ringing the door...

"Lovely stay. Eloi is a superb host, for whom nothing seemed too much trouble. The property is in a superb location, with fabulous views over the mountain to the border with Spain. "My wife Jo and I spent a very pleasant ten days at Mas Santol. The gite is very beautiful, in a great location not far from the charming small town of Ceret. We explored the area and also went further afield, to the beach at Le Racoul and into the mountains of Prats-de-Mollo. Martine and Serge were very nice to deal with. "We are a group of 8 and just had the most fantastic 2 weeks in this house. Views are spectacular, the house is well equipped and very spacious and the pool was a good size and a nice temperature. All bedrooms open up on to the balcony where you can watch the sun rise & deer grazing on the garden. Buzzards & kites flying over every day. Market at Prades on Tuesday is worth a visit and also Fort Liberia - if you don’t take the 800 steps up then be prepared for a adventurous & very bumpy jeep...

"We had a great stay here. The house and pool are excellent and the location is beautiful and very peaceful. George was very friendly and welcoming and responded quickly to little requests we made. We felt that the description of the location could be a little more precise.The access road is quite rough and tricky to negotiate in places after heavy rain. Also guests need to be aware that they will be at some distance from the nearest village and shop.That said, it might just be what people are...

"Had a wonderful 2-week holiday in this beautiful, clean and spacious villa. The host Jean was extremely helpful with nothing being too much trouble. The villa is very secure and close to a main road giving easy access to local attractions. Would highly recommend. "

"What a brilliant place for our multi-generational group of friends and family. The setting is beautiful - very peaceful, with fabulous views of the surrounding woods and mountains. The property worked really well for us, with something for everyone - particular favourites included the pool, board games, books, TV, table-tennis, and the space to relax on your own if you wanted peace and quiet. "Nous avons passé de superbes vacances d'été en famille. La maison est exceptionnelle avec ses 6 chambres. Mon papa ne supportant pas la chaleur, il a pu se ressourcer à l'étage dans le salon climatisé, nous ne la mettions même pas en bas mais elle fonctionne très bien. Beaucoup d'équipements, de vaisselle, tout est pensé pour fonctionner en famille nombreuse. De 3 ans à 60 ans en passant par les ados, chacun a pu se créer des merveilleux souvenirs en famille. Lovely villa in a great area

"Great space to enable different groups to do their own thing. Fantastic pool, and kitchen. (Found electric gate a bit hard to use-but appreciated the secutiry for cars and motorbikes). "

"Super hotel. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel is set in lovely grounds with a pool. The room had a balcony and working air conditioning. There is no EV charging on site but there's a McDonalds a very short distance away with rapid chargers. Really glad we found this hotel, it was an enjoyable stay. "

Superb farmhouse in a beautiful green setting, breathtaking view of the Canigou

Peaceful retreat

"We enjoyed a family holiday for 2 weeks in this beautiful rural property. Sylvain and Morgane were there to welcome us and show us around the house. They were so helpful and ready to answer any questions. We really appreciated their hard work. What a lovely couple! The house itself is clean and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked with everything one could need. Having an indoor fridge and an outside fridge in the outdoor kitchen was really useful with such a large group of us. The pool is a really good size for large groups too. There are plenty of sun loungers and chairs for at the pool. The hot tub was also well used by everyone despite the hot weather. The garden is beautiful with a lovely raised wooden walkway. PROS: Beautiful property in stunning setting, fantastic pool and entertainment area, well stocked kitchen, large dining area, peaceful surrounds. CONS: There were only 5 bedrooms, not 6 as described at the time that we booked. However the owner did open up his personal bedroom for our use, and the advert has since been revised. There is only A/C in 2 of the bedrooms. Because of the mosquitoes, we could not have any doors open at night, which made it very hot indeed with no A/C. The owner arrived with 4 guests during our stay and showed them around the house, including into one of the bedrooms. If we had been asked beforehand, we would probably have agreed to this (and tidied first), however we are not happy that this happened without our consent. "
