"Around 2006, the owners, Jacqueline and Daniel, decided to turn an old stone house near their own place into a Gite. The work was done with a lot of care. The main area has a master bedroom and bath. For families with children, the attic space has an additional 3 beds and a half-bath. Off the kitchen-dining area is a large enclosed garden with table and chairs for outdoor eating. "My family and I had the most wonderful time staying at Birdie’s home. We were welcomed in by Birdie as if we were long family friends - Birdie had been extremely accommodating with our arrival times and delays etc. Birdie’s home was full of character, adorned with pictures of her family, with a fully stocked kitchen, games to play, and everything else we could need. "A lovely, peaceful stay in the countryside. The century old home is well appointed and spacious. Although we were not able to access the river from the property we had 3 beautiful days paddling in the Dordogne, hiking and visiting beautiful villages nearby."
