"We had a family/friend group of 8 plus 2 dogs. We had been late for checking due to the lomg drive but the host (Chris) had the house warm and cozy when we arrived. We went to the ghost tour at the beechworth asylum and had a great day in town on Saturday. Plenty to do and see. Two nights was not long enough. Everyone enjoyed the house and the animals, even the dogs had a great time. Would book agaim but next time a few more nights. Relax and Recharge. "

"Had a lovely weekend away at Hughes Hideaway. Was a short 10 minute drive to bright which was perfect for us. Beds were clean, comfy and warm, communication and check in extremely easy. Area very quiet. Hughes Hideaway was clean, though lots of cobwebs and bugs especially in the bathroom and along windows seals, including mould on the bathroom ceiling. Gas bbq was disgusting and has not been cleaned in a long time. Outdoor area not very inviting, needs a good clean. "

"Very nice place to stay. The house was very comfortable and had everything you need for a getaway. Just a little over an hour to go to Hotham for a day trip to the snows and about an hour and half to Falls creek. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to get away from the city from a short getaway."

"Overall we were not estactic with our stay due to a couple of critical points that were not specified when booking. The most important to us was the lack of hot water. We have 4 people staying in this accomodation and even with short showers it didn’t last long enough for the fourth person to have a warm shower. This was extremely disheartening after a full day of freezing our butts off up on the mountains snowboarding. The second complaint was how terrible the heating was. We arrived to a cold...

"Only have a couple of issues with this property. 1 being the lack of covered area outside, which I guess isn't a problem until it rains, especially when guest are staying out in the pool room. The other issue was in the pool room they seem to have a furry resident living in the ceiling and there are no towel racks to hang your towels. Home is roomy for a large group and has everything to make it cosy on a wintery night. We thourghly enjoyed our stay. "
