This was a little slice of heaven! A perfect home away from home if you will. My husband and I had been on a 2 week road trip and we were driving in from Zion NP. We found this Inn and booked it based on the price, location, and reviews.
We didn't get in until quite late so or initial impression was a bit of a concern. The 2 story hotel next door was completely vacant and the Ponderosa Inn was also empty. We were a bit weary since it seemed lonely and the inn was down a dark lonely unlit road, especially knowing there would be no staff on site. However, when we walked in the motion lights came on and we easily found our room. Gabe had emailed us the instructions on how to enter our room with a digital code and when we entered were pleasantly surprised.
The room was so welcoming and charming. The decor was amazing. We had the River Bend Room and the minute you walk in you just smell clean linens and a clean room. The room had a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, chairs, table, a firm yet comfortable bed, and the pillows were so luxurious. I appreciated the grey towels because I felt like we were at someone's home and not a sterilized hotel. Also, the bathroom had soft toilet tissue, not the single ply stuff most places have. It is the little things in life.
The attention to detail was so spot on.
We ended up staying 2 nights while we hiked Bryce, Escalante's petrified forest, and Capital Reef.
Each room is different and there is even a family suite which we want to loo
