"My wife got stuck in the bathroom due to a faulty door. It took over an hour of me harassing the hotel staff to get maintenance that was dealing with a broken elevator. I pointed out no one was actually in the elevator, and in the event of a fire, my wife would be trapped. The manager was dismissive and didn’t care. "Excellent location and convenient for the beach, bars and bus. Room was ok for one night for us and very spacious. We were in room 6 and no view only a bush/tree. Towels were dirty or stained not sure which really."

"Nice property, very clean, lovely food, stunning roof top terrace and great location! However, don’t be mislead with the word Boutique in the hotel name - it isn’t! Some areas have modern touches but much of the hotel is still old fashioned and basic. Also, was rather disappointed that the vast majority of rooms have a window, not a balcony. There was no mention of this or option to book a balcony prior to arrival. In all my years of travel, I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a beach hotel...

"A few problems with the room but overall very good."

"The family room was great for us and would recommend for other families like ours. Is in a great location near the beach and the fairground. The pools are very nice for the kids. The meal times were a little inconvenient for us, dinner started at 7pm by which time our young children are usually in bed! Luckily, there are a lot of great restaurants easily walkable that we utilised nearer the end of our stay. We have been to Es Canar many times and love it, we will be returning."
