"We had a wonderful stay at la Stube de Marinette during 10 days in August. The home is amazingly decorated, Jean and Caroline very welcoming and helpful and the location is just perfect to access many view points and monuments. We definitely recommend! "

"Marguerite was a wonderful host and her house and garden are beautiful. There is plenty of room for a couple to relax. The lounge has two big sofas, nice lights and satellite TV. The kitchen is well-equipped, with a new oven and lots of pans and cutlery. The bedroom is comfortable and the shower is easy to use. We also appreciated the washing machine and iron. We were able to walk around the huge garden whenever we wanted (just watch the mosquitoes!) and Marguerite gave us apples from her trees. Plobsheim is a good base for Alsace, with two bakeries, several restaurants and quiet countryside. It is about 20 minutes’ drive from the centre of Strasbourg and close to motorways and the German border. We would thoroughly recommend the property and thank Marguerite for her hospitality. "

"No air con in July made my stay difficult. Located on a river bank, if you opened windows you were attacked by mosquitos. Room spotless clean and comfy bed. Bathroom excellent. Part time reception cover but helpful staff"

"What I especially liked was the ability to park on the property, with is in an outlying village of the Strasbourg metropolitan area, and bus it into the city - there's a regular service, takes half an hour, cost €2.50. It's a unique sort of property, an enclosed series of buildings, half-timbered in style, repurposed to local uses and tourism. The host is as brilliant as other reviews note - nothing too much trouble. "
