"Beautiful house set in lovely gardens with stunning views of the hills and village below. The house was spotlessly clean with all the facilities we needed to make our stay so comfortable. 35 minute drive to Bilbao and just over an hour to San Sebastián and easy access to vineyards in the Rioja region. Mikel is a wonderful host giving us clear directions and getting us back in quickly when we managed to lock ourselves out.We hope to stay here again."

"Stunning views, friendly host, reasonable equipped but stay disappointing partly due to poor weather (so outside space hardly used) and lack of natural light in apartment. Weather not Dorleta’s fault but unless you read the description and looked at the photos very carefully the fact that there is only one external window and that in the kitchen area is not apparent."

"Excellent accommodation - the house is well presented and full of character. There is plenty of space and it is well equipped. It is in a small village accessed up a winding mountain road. The area is rural and unspoilt, and popular with hikers and cyclists. The house was an ideal place from which to explore locally and farther afield, including Bilbao and Santander."

"La vue de la terrasse est vraiment exceptionnelle. Le petit studio mis à notre disposition est vraiment bien pour deux personnes. En plus, le ménage était fait chaque jour. Les nuits sont très calmes. Possibilité de prendre un copieux petit-déjeuner le matin. Cette localisation nous a permis de découvrir les petits ports de la côte Basque, mais aussi l'intérieur des terres. Bilbao est à un peu plus d'une heure, parfait pour visiter le musée Guggenheim. Pour finir, notre hôtesse était charmante....

"We spent a lovely four nights here. The condo was on an upper floor, with plenty of parking at the side of the building. We used supermarkets in Durango (5-10 min drive away) for groceries. It was easy to drive into Durango and take the train to Bilbao for the day too. The kitchen had the basic things you might need (small oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, washer, dishwasher, but no kettle?) and the shower was pleasingly powerful. The air con was very welcome in the sticky July...

"Miguel was super nice to meet us at the villa for check in. He explained how to use everything in the house and even talked to the private chef we booked for a house dinner one night, which was really helpful.
