The beach is sandy Équihen, limited by dunes. It extends over 3 km from the estuary of the Warrenne (Ecault) south to the cliffs of Cape Alprech (Le Portel) to Nord1.
Unlike many resorts, Équihen preserved its wild landscape and its naturel2 environment. The seaside is hardly urbanized. It consists primarily of cliffs, dunes and creeks. It allows hiking and magnificent views of the sea.
The population has more access to the beach. The primary, the most southerly, is the only place concrete seaside. It has an aid station, a shop, toilets, showers and changing rooms and facilities for sailing, kitesurfing and kayaking Sea1. Other access are closer to nature.
