Located closest to the state park this 2,300 square foot guesthouse at Los Alamos Ranch is the perfect getaway for large groups looking for a true desert retreat. We have hosted family reunions to yoga & mediation retreats. With 4 bedrooms, 7 beds & plenty of room for an air mattress or 2, we are one of very few places you'll find near the state park that can host large groups. We have all your creature comforts, A/C, Roku TV, WiFi, and delicious drinking water direct from our artesian well.
Since COVID-19, now more than ever, we want to offer the solitude provided at our guesthouse. We space our bookings to allow for ample time to clean by CDC standards. Hand sanitizer and Lysol are centrally located for easy access. We are located about one hour from the Big Bend Ranch State Park near the Sauceda Headquarters. We are also one hour drive from Marfa. Both easy day trips. The national park is about a 2.5 hour trek. But really, being located in the middle of the Chihuahuan Desert with your own private access to the Big Bend back country and starry nights is the best part about staying the Los Alamos Ranch Guesthouse . Unplug from the city lights and sounds and enjoy the beauty and stillness of the high desert and epic stargazing!
You have full access to the entire house and really, the entire 800 acre ranch! Private Big Bend Hiking, catch and release fishing, it's all available during your stay at no extra charge.
We have a large outdoor soak tub to keep you and your friends and family cool in the warm summer months. And a fire pit ready to enjoy those starry nights in the winter! Our kitchen is fully stocked to help you prepare almost any meal. The house is fully stocked with plenty of paper towels, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, etc. Don't hesitate to shoot us any questions of what we provide, chances are we do!
If you drive a sedan or small vehicle with standard street tires, please message us and we'll tell you about road conditions. Typically, they are A-OK! Bring your camera to capture some epic sunrise and sunsets. A telescope for the starry nights, but really you can see the milky way with the naked eye. Bring your mountain bike, miles of desert road at your feet!
