"We have stayed on many occasions so we are very familiar with the hotel. After a 6 hour drive from Como we wanted to have a meal and as we have a dog couldn't eat in the restaurant so I went down to the bar and ordered room service. "We came to Trier for the Christmas market and to visit the Roman sites. The hotel was ideally placed for both. There's no restaurant but the hotel buffet breakfast was excellent and catered well for a gluten intolerance. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Parking in the underground carpark was fine if a little tight to navigate in a bigger car. The staff were excellent and helpful. They spoke perfect English but humoured our schoolboy German! All round good."
