Enjoy a unique farmstay experience in a private fully furnished upstairs apartment over an alpaca barn. In addition to our huacaya alpaca herd, you will encounter Willow (our horse boarder), dairy goats, chickens, ducks and barn cats as well as wildlife sightings of deer, turkey, elk or black bear! West Creek Rails to Trails abuts the farm and on clear nights experience dark skies stargazing from the deck. Savor an off-the-grid stay while you explore the wonders of the Pennsylvania Wilds.

It is a farm so you have to be prepared for farm animals and smells. Very nice little apartment. We had a comfortable stay.
Quiet mountain out of the way area. Watching & interacting w the animals was a relaxing +++. Orange cat made us feel like home he's a keeper... Property owner was very nice and got my hubby to milk a goat which I never thought he would do. would go back in a heartbeat.. TYTYTY

The apartment was very nice but above the animal pen and the smell was horrendous but once you shut the doors upstairs it was good
This was the perfect little place for my husband and I to have a quick little getaway. We had so much fun seeing all the alpacas and other little animals. Perfect location between St. Mary’s and Emporium making it easy for us to travel back and forth between attractions.
Husband and I had a wonderful stay at this cute little red barn/ alpaca farm!!!
Robin was a wonderful host who actually taught us a few things about the animals and farming. We are grateful to have had this wonderful experience!! Will come back again !!!

The property was exactly what I needed for my stay in St. Mary’s. I enjoyed seeing the animals and the host were amazing. I did have an AT&T hotspot and was able to connect to the outside world. I would deffinetly stay there again.
Peace, quiet, and farm friends abound! Loki the feline ambassador greeted me upon arrival and showed me to the door (really, it was impressive!) of a clean, modern, and comfortable apartment. Well appointed space with plenty of room and activities for families. Would definitely stay again!
Very relaxing place. Has all the essentials. Watching the animals (even in the rain) was entertaining. Quiet, close to many destinations you want to explore.
We enjoyed the location and all of the animals. The accommodations were the perfect size for us. The full size appliances were a nice surprise. Our favorite part was sitting on the second story deck and watching the animals. Although we did not need anything, it was reassuring to know that the owners were right there. .
My favorite part of coming to pa yearly is put phones down because you have no service anyway and enjoy the beautiful land! The property with goats alpaca and friendly cats!
Nice little off the grid get away.
It is a working alpaca farm so be aware of that. Robin is very accommodating and super friendly, Mike is too.
No internet, no TV, so if that's what your looking for this is the place. Pretty centrally located between St.Marys and Emporium
We loved being off grid, just wish we hadn’t ended up having 90 degree weather that week! Still, we were able to talk, read from actual books, and give our eyes a break from screens. The alpaca’s and goats, cats and ducks, all were delightful sights to see and hear which added to our relaxation! We’d love to come back!!
The place was nice, but I would say that it needs to be understood that it is a working farm with all the odors associated with it. It was fine for us, but others should know. Also, the place has no air conditioning so consider that when planning in the summer. Other than that, it was an excellent apartment and we enjoyed the alpacas, the farm and the rail trail that runs through the property.
We were a bit bummed nothing stayed in the barn and there were no animals to see while we were there. And it was a bit shockinf to find the bathroom door doesnt cover the doorway😅 But the property is lovely! The location is great! Everything was clean, working and obviously cared for! And the bed was so comfortable. Great place to unplug! Wed be happy to stay again when theres more time to enjoy it all!
This place was what we needed. The stars at night and the farm animals by day were very inviting. For those who wonder about privacy, there was no need to ask the hosts on the property for anything. If it weren't for me seeing him feed the chickens and ducks, I don't think I would have known they were there. We were also greeted by Loki, an affectionate cat that allowed us to take him in. We played games together and enjoyed the atmosphere.
The kids loved the animals. We just recently acquired a stray kitten and so the kids loved having our visitor Loki. They were also excited to see what other animals could be viewed from the apartment. Only down fall (with no fault to the owners) was the lack of service in parts. Did not discover until we were leaving that we could get some service on the porch but none inside the building. My 6 year old said he was sad to be going home. ☺️
Our family of 3 just wanted a place to stay for a few days so that we could enjoy the elk in nearby Benezette PA.(about 40 min drive). This turned out to be a great place for us to stay. Our daughter (who loves animals) not only got to hear elk bugling and watch the bull elk lock horns at the Benezette Visitors Center but also got to pet goats and see alpaca, a duck, chickens, a couple of cats and a kitten at this amazing Little Red Barn farm. Mike was nice enough to let us see all of the animals. I must admit when it said it was an apartment above a barn I wasn’t sure what the apartment would smell like, but the apartment was clean and smelled clean. I was also not sure if it would be noisy (thinking the alpaca might be in the barn below us) but it was very quiet and peaceful. The animals were all in the fields. Would definitely recommend this cute little apartment above the barn. It had everything we needed. Thank you Robin and Mike for sharing your apartment with us.
