"Hotel is clean and comfortable, there is parking behind the hotel which is included. Rooms are nice, there are better in Kilkenny but you pay the premium for that. Hotel is right in the centre, so can walk to wherever you want to. Had soup and a sandwich in the attached pub/restaurant which was very nice and the bread was exceptionally fresh. The Irish breakfast in the morning was perfectly cooked and as good as I have every had to be honest, and I have had a few in my time. Overall...

"The hotel is right in the heart of Kilkenny with all rhe major tourist spots within comfortable walking distance. The rooms are really soacious and very comfortable and the staff are wonderful. I'm very happy to recommend the Pembroke to other visitors."

"It’s a decent stay for the price. The property is starting to show its age and the health club was out of commission during my stay. Included breakfast is good, not exceptional. It’s a short walk to the city center and all the great restaurants and pubs so not bad overall. "

"The rooms were old and needed major upgrades. The beds were ancient. The stairs up and down, little hallways, and more stairs, throughout the hotel were like a maze. The bartenders and wait staff were excellent and the location was good. But there are much better choices for the amount we paid."

"We were returning to the Heritage after getting engaged here 4 years ago. They upgraded us to a suite which was a lovely surprise and the room was fantastic. Our only issue we discovered with the hotel was the lobby and adjoining areas, including where we had afternoon tea and dinner were all a bit cold. My wife had to keep her coat on in all rooms of the hotel and though I don't normally feel the cold, had to keep a jumper on at all times. The pool area could do with a revival also, it...

"From the moment we arrived we were very impressed with this hotel, grounds and surroundings. From the friendly doorman to Dermot the concierge who took our bags, ordered our taxis etc, to the lovely receptionists and that was before we took in the beautiful decor, comfort and layout of bars and restaurants and before we got to our bedroom which was more like a suite as was huge with a lovely view of the estate. "Parking at the multistory parking next door was 22€/day. Hotel is beautiful upon entering. Restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The allergens were not correct on the menu though so ask before ordering if you have allergies. Room was spacious and beds were good. Corridors really dark. Breakfast very average but staff were nice."

"Overall the hotel was good, the only points I would raise are with the room. A big room was allocated with a Queen size double and two singles, presumably a family room. It was at the top of a steep stair, not good for children. The smart TV was so smart it gave you the program it wanted no matter what you selected. The bathroom was fine except for only one hook to hang towels on and the small radiator not fixed to the wall. I would use the hotel again but not in rooms 15 and 16"
