It is a short, 5-minute walk to the beach – which includes the ferry stop, a bakery, a small steakhouse and several other shops and cafés. A larger supermarket is only a 10-minute walk away. Hier ist an jedes Detail gedacht worden. Die Kommunikation mit den Eigentümern war sehr nett und jederzeit möglich. Wir haben hier einen schönen Jahreswechsel erlebt und kommen gern noch einmal. Their unit was modern, clean, and of a high standard in the middle of the old, historic town. We enjoyed walking to the butcher and baker to get goods for our breakfast. "Die Wohnung liegt im Dachgeschoss. Die Dusche ist nachträglich eingebaut und ist sehr eng durch die Schrege. Die Elektrogeräte in der Küche sind veraltet. WLAN ist vorhanden aber das Internet ist so schwach, dass der Fernseher nicht funktioniert. Im allgemeinen Preis-Leistung Verhältnis stimmt."

Viele Möglichkeiten für Touren zu Fuß mit dem Rad oder per Schiff in der Umgebung. Ausreichend Einkaufsmöglichkeiten im kleinen Ort, sehr guter ÖPNV in der Toruistepauschale enthalten. Sehr freundliche, unkomplizierte und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die allen Wünschen entgegenkamen. Würden sofort wieder hinfahren."

"Zunächst wurden wir bei Ankunft sehr freundlich von den Besitzern empfangen und es gab eine kleine Führung. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und hell, die Räume aufgrund ihrer unterschiedlichen Farbgestaltung etwas besonderes. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt!"

"Die komplette eingerichtete Dachgeschoss-Wohnung ließ kaum Wünsche offen. Nach aktiven Tagestouren genossen wir den Blick vom Balkon auf den Bodensee. Die Geräusche von der nahen Bundesstraße, der Bahnstrecke und dem Bahnhof störten allerdings schon mal, vor allem in der Nacht, wo wir wegen der Hitze mit offenen Fenstern Schlaf finden wollten."

"Well, if you want to visit Schaffhausen, and who wouldn't, this is certainly the place to stay if you are either driving on coming by train. The parking is next door, as is the station. Room was large, clean and comfortable and the hotel's restaurant/bar really nice. It is convenient to everything, and walking distance to all you would want to see. A fantastic place to visit and to stay. Would highly recomment do anyone."

"Honestly, the staff here are some of the most patient, kind, and generous folks you will ever meet. My only gripe is that the WiFi was very poor and caused issues when in virtual meetings. However, the staff were splendid and am happy to have stayed here. "

"A family of four, we stayed in one of the junior suites, with a queen bed and a converted sofa bed. The room was very spacious, had large closet space, and the bath came with double sinks. The room had floor-to-ceiling windows with an absolutely breathtaking view over the Bodensee. Staff was all very friendly, though despite us speaking German and English, at times there were some language-based communication challenges with restaurant staff that could be improved. Our family also very much liked the breakfast buffet. It was super easy to grab a bus at a nearby bus stop to head down into town and enjoy the promenade. If there would be two things I'd love to see improve, it would be dedicated smoking / non-smoking sections for the restaurant's terrace. Like us, I noticed several other guests being disturbed by other guests smoking and taking away from what is otherwise a great outside breakfast and dining experience. The second thing, which I recognize will not be easy and certainly isn't a fault of the hotel / staff, would be to find a way to keep wasps at bay. There were plenty of wasps disturbing guests--including our kids--and it also took away from the experience while eating on the terrace. This was our first stay here and surely not our last--we look forward to coming back to this property!"
