UC River Ranch · Spectacular blue ribbon fly fishing

This stunning river front property is located on East River Road south of Six Mile Creek & Daily Lake right in the heart of Paradise Valley. The 7.64 ares is accessed through a gated entry and gravel road that flanks the Yellowstone River. A boat launch up river from the house makes putting in and taking off the river in a boat a luxury.

Boasting more than a quarter mile of unobstructed river frontage, the spacious cabin offers world-class fly fishing, panoramic mountain views of the Absaroka Range, Emigrant Peak, and endless recreational opportunities. The cabin is just 4 miles from Chico Hot Springs, 30 miles from Livingston and 20 miles from the North entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

The home itself is a gorgeous custom log home crafted from large native pines. The cabin is fully furnished with close attention paid to every detail. Jaw-dropping views from every window- giving truly memorable and unique Montana experiences with every moment. The floor plan is ideal for 2 large families or larger groups and comfortably sleeps 15 people! There are 2 spacious bedroom lofts on each second floor wing, separated by a great room and oversized dining area and flat screen tv. The master loft contains a king bed, a twin bed, a full private bath and a cozy secondary loft ("The Tree House") with a queen memory foam mattress accessible by ladder (Kids love it!). The secondary loft on the other wing contains a queen bed, 4 twin beds and a full bath. The cabin offers the spectacular "River Room" with a queen bed surrounded by windows on 3 sides overlooking the Yellowstone River. Additionally, there is a bunk room with 2 twin beds right off of the great room. The open plan kitchen and dining area have wood floors throughout, creating the perfect atmosphere for entertaining and gathering in a very nice, but relaxed way.

The home is very family friendly with kids' toys and areas to play.

There is a huge, wrap-around deck overlooking the Yellowstone River and the entire property. Newly installed deck with railings, solar lights and a propane firepit ensure you will be just as happy outside enjoying the views as anywhere! Ample seating and lounge chairs for the whole group! Just beyond the deck area are horseshoe pit and private path to the river and private boat dock. A meandering path connects the deck to the banks of your own 1/4 mile private stretch of the Yellowstone River for endless hours of blue ribbon fishing, floating and playing!

Garbage service is not available at this location, there are several places nearby to dispose of your bagged garbage, a map will be provided.

A 4wd vehicle is recommended for accessing all the area has to offer - to get to trailheads, boat ramps and general "off the beaten path" roads.

perfect cabin for fishing & hiking
The cabin was a lovely retreat for our fly fishing/yellowstone hiking family adventure. We had plenty of room and it was well appointed with things we didn't anticipate (extra paper plates, dishwashing supplies, etc.). Our fishing boats stopped at the house one day for lunch and we had a picnic outside. It was cozy, comfortable and just lovely. Thank you so much.

Yellowstone
This was and awesome first time trip to Yellowstone for us. The house was set in gorgeous place. The only issue I had was no shower on the main floor. I didn’t remember that being told in the description, or maybe I just missed it. We had a 76 year old with us so they had to walk up stairs every morning for a shower. The hot water was also very minimal. In fact, on day no one got showers because of no hot water. I did check the breakers and one was flipped so I reset it. It was better after that but the bathroom on the road side we never used due to no hot water, until the last day of our stay. We only had 5 and couldn’t get good showers for us all. Other than that we weren’t at the house enough for any more than sleeping.

Montana river ranch
Perfect location, beautiful house, the deck was the best part, but lots of mosquitos, Bring bug spray! We had a group of 14 adults, there was enough space, but not enough bathrooms, if the half bath on main floor was a full bathroom, it would of been easier, especially for the elderly in our group. Also, we ran out of hot water after about three showers which was very inconvenient, I think the hot water tank was big enough maybe just need to turn up the hot and that might fix it. Trail to river is nice, you can drive on it. The path right in front of the house is very convenient and what everyone wants to use, but very hard for older people and it needs groomed! House was easy to get into and property manager was very easy to reach. Overall we had a great trip and would stay again!

Yellowstone in April
We worried that our first trip to Yellowstone would not be good in April, but we were wrong! The house was perfectly situated between the park and Livingston. We got to see the full range of weather (30 degrees and snow, up to 60 degrees and sunny), and you just can’t beat visiting a National Park with ZERO CROWDS!! The house was well appointed, stocked with everything we could need. We borrowed the cooler and the bear spray for the day; the grill tools, tape measure, Tupperware, and pizza cutter all came in handy. We had a windy stay and we’re not able to enjoy the fire pit, and the internet was quite spotty. Would definitely recommend this house and this property company.

Yellowstone Christmas
A great cabin getaway for our family of eleven to celebrate Christmas on the bank of the Yellowstone River in "Paradise". The location of the cabin allowed us to enjoy observing eagles, deer, elk and coyotes. We enjoyed first class dining at Chico Hot Springs restaurant and enjoyed soaking in the hot springs. We were only minutes away from Yellowstone Park and were able to get to the park early to see wildlife. We left with many wonderful memories and experiences.

uncomfortable bed
Queen bed in upstairs bedroom was old, hard and uncomfortable. You could actually feel the coils. For what this property costs to rent, invest just a little back for new, comfortable mattresses.

Amazing Experience
Beautiful location with amazing views. The property is well stocked with all the basic essentials. Easy check in and check out, wonderfully responsive hosts. Ample living space (we had 9 family members) and very comfortable beds throughout. FYI: The main floor living area has the half bath. The 2 full baths are both located upstairs if you have accessibility issues.

Some good. Some bad
Good size for our family of 13. Good location. Hardly any traffic. Pretty spot. Deck great Dishwasher old and dirty. Had to rewash all the dishes. Caked on food and black soot(?) on the dishes. Not enough dish towels. Beds old. We were required to take our garbage In our vehicle to a garbage dump. If we didn’t we’d get charged $50. The first time we were made aware of this is when we saw a sign at the house. I would have never rented if I known this beforehand. They actually charged us $100 because of the amt of garbage. Just be aware. We gladly stripped our beds and had all dishes clean swept straightened up. But hauling our garbage away is unreasonable

Doesn't get much better
Well cared for property, conveniently located within easy driving distance of Yellowstone, Gallatin Nat'l Forest, shopping and events in several towns... the list goes on. Of course, Yellowstone River access right off the back deck is the crown jewel here. We had no problem catching cutthroat and rainbow trout on regular small tackle fishing gear. The little general store/gas station in Emigrant has a decent selection of fishing gear and a small package of 6 rooster tails will go a long way to catching these beautiful fish. My only two knits to pick would be the hill down to the river is steep and precarious to walk for those in their 60s. Would be nice to have some stones or a more stable means to walk down to the river. Was also a bit disappointed in how quickly the hot water disappeared after 1-2 people took 5-10 minute showers. Better water regulating shower heads or switching to a gas hot water heater would likely help significantly. Loved this property, the charm, location, and view! Almost unbeatable! Key Montana properties is also a terrific team to work with and readily available to answer questions promptly. Fantastic property manager.

Nice!
Very nice cabin and area beautiful. Relaxing view. Just want to note though that if you have an elderly couple with you, there is just one bedroom on the main floor. The bathroom is not close to it and there is no access to a shower except for upstairs.

Beautiful home in a perfect location
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house on the river. The property manager was so helpful and kind. I told her that we were there to bury my father. She immediately offered her condolences and offered to help us iif we needed anything. The house itself was amazing. The view was spectacular. The deck was large enough for everyone to socialize. The bedrooms were cozy, the bathrooms were clean and the kitchen was a perfect size for cooking and gathering with our friends and family. The house overall was clean. We also did quite a bit of grilling. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this property

Great Labor Day Weekend.
Nice place. Clean. River proximity was convenient. Caught two 15in trout from the shore for dinner one afternoon. Air conditioning system could be better. Closing the sun drapes in the second day really helped with interior temperature. But then we couldn’t appreciate the fine views from the windows. Overall great trip.

Launch pad to the river, mountains and Yellowstone
We had a great time at this property, amazing views all around the house. The back deck is an unbelievable place to watch the sunset over the Gallatin Range. Fishing in the Yellowstone right out front of the house was great every morning evening and night, hungry trout in those waters. I’d be hard pressed to come up with something the house lacked.

Great Location, Stunning Views
Great log house overlooking the beautiful Yellowstone River! We enjoyed sitting out on the deck enjoying the sights and sounds of the river as well as the deer and other wildlife. The mosquitoes were a bit of a nuisance, but bug spray and cool weather eliminated them. The house was well equipped with a great kitchen where we enjoyed cooking many meals. We had a great horseshoe tournament as well! The house is about a 30-40 minute drive to Yellowstone. A perfect place to stay and we would gladly stay there again!

Beautiful location. House needs TLC.
Great location. Wonderful views. House needs attention. Master bath sink was clogged (I found a plunger and removed the nasty mess), deck railings are rotted and missing spindles, and the hardwired smoke/fire alarm system went off twice during the night - Wednesday 2:10 am - 2:45 am and Friday 3:50 am - 4:25 am. Two sleep deprived nights. Called Deena (property manager) and left a message that was never returned. Not even a "sorry about that." I imagine the issue will be resolved when additional complaints roll in. We alway use VRBO for dependable, enjoyable vacation homes, but this had some rough spots. It's a shame, as with some loving attention this home could be quickly restored to the glorious cabin the photos imply. Scott and Loretta Sullivan
