The Emerald cottage is a charming, fully renovated 1950s beach cottage one block to the beach! Hear ocean waves from the master bedroom w/ a queen bed, en-suite bath & claw foot tub. Enjoy your morning coffee on the private deck or gather together in the open living area. There’s a hall bath & guest bedroom with desk area too! Unique & cozy, this cottage has it all with modern amenities, family fun, bikes a fire-pit, hot tub, a 3 minute walk to the beach access at the end of both streets on either side of the cottage! It’s pet friendly & close to city center!

There are 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with an outdoor shower as well, to clean off after the fun beach days! The master bedroom en suite has a queen bed with clawfoot tub, water closet, pedestal sink and closet. The hall bath is next to the guest bedroom that has a double bed with a closet and a desk area to work from home. Call bathhouse a tile shower, toilet and sink. The stackable washer and dryer are in the hallway next to the bathroom for your convenience while staying in the cottage. The cottage is fully renovated with all new appliances. There are TVs in both bedrooms and a large TV in the living room for those cozy movie nights together. Private backyard with outdoor seating for your morning coffee or grill dinner on the deck, and a hot tub for relaxing and the firepit for fun cozy nights! And with tons of beach gear for all the beach days and bikes, exploring is a breeze! Public beach access is just down the block so the walk is about 3 minutes. What more could you ask for!

This was a beautiful cottage with a short walk to the beach. The place was very clean loaded with amenities. I would consider this place for future visits.

Family Stay
We had a great stay at the cottage with our three children and dogs. There was plenty of sleeping room for everyone. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for the week. I loved that the shed had all the beach essentials: wagon, chairs, beach umbrella so I didn't need to buy and hall those items with us :)

My family had an excellent long weekend here. The cottage is so cozy and sweet. Just a short walk to the beach, while still feeling very private. The house has so many little touches that made it feel extra especial. The host was very kind and communicative. This is a wonderful place and I hope to visit again! Thank you!

My wife and I stayed for a quick babymoon before our first child arrives. The house was great. Very clean and comfortable and with a neat decor. Close to the breach and a short trip to all the good restaurants. The host was great as well, with excellent communication.

Perfect Quick Getaway
The Emerald Cottage is beautifully appointed, masterfully renovated, and perfectly located for a quiet getaway to the Emerald Isle area. The 2BR/2BA layout has ample privacy and plenty of room for a small family or even two couples (and a pet!). We’ll be back!

Stunningly clean and beautiful cottage
We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful, clean, meticulously decorated cottage with our small family and dog. The pictures were all extremely accurate, and Stacie was a joy to communicate with as well as in providing excellent recommendations during our stay. We hope to return as a family!

Lovely Emerald Isle Cottage
Cottage was nice and cozy and short walk to beach. On-site in utility shed, they provide a beach wagon, chairs, umbrella and bikes all very useful during our stay. Stacy was very attentive to our needs during our stay. Thank you Stacy ;).

Beautiful Beach Cottage
We loved our stay at the cottage! The cottage is beautifully decorated and incredibly clean and cozy. It was well equipped and had everything we needed. The shed is equipped with a cooler, beach wagon and beach cruisers. We will be back!

Great spot with flexible scheduling
Very cute and cozy with a well-appointed kitchen. It was great to have flexibility to reserve according to our schedule which didn’t work for the whole week. Quick walk to a great section of the beach. Best interior design of any beach rental we’ve ever had!

Really enjoyed our stay!
Property was beautiful, clean when we arrived. Stacy left us wine & popcorn and little bathroom supplies as well as supplied everything we needed for our stay. I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone looking to be 2 minutes from the beach, a cozy private cottage, beautiful interior & great vibes.

Croatan Cottage
This property was perfect for a weekend getaway with a bike race thrown in. The hot tub and bathtub came in handy for relaxation and recovery! Communication with the owner was fantastic. She checked on us and made sure we were enjoying our stay. This cute cottage had everything we could ask for in a rental and all the extras too, from a fire pit with wood, to bikes & beach chairs, and lots of little luxuries inside. We loved everything about it and will be back!

Quaint Cottage
Stacy was a fantastic host. She was very helpful with navigating the area and any questions we had. The cottage was perfect for myself, hubby and fur baby. Very well stocked. The beach wagon was a great for caring all our beach stuff to ocean. We had a fire in the firepit and relaxed in the hot tub. We will be returning!! Emerald Isle is now our favorite beach! Cheers! A cozy getaway
Everything about this property screams cozy & quaint. It’s located in a great area just a block away from the beach. I felt right at home from the moment I walked through the door. It has beautiful beachy & modern decor & everything I needed. Stacey was wonderful & able to answer all my questions & left wine & snacks for my arrival. She provided great recommendations for restaurants & responded quickly. All the instructions she left were easy to understand. I will absolutely be staying here again.

Lovely, clean and bright cottage.
The cottage is set on the main road but offers privacy by way of tall shrubbery in front and back and noise was not an issue. it is very clean, light, and tastefully decorated with a distressed ocean theme. A bottle of wine was awaiting on the table when I arrived. Bathrooms were clean and kitchen was well appointed. There is a nice front porch and deck in the back of the house and a fire pit. Host was available for any questions and easy to work with. Pets allowed! We will definitely book again if possible.

Excellent vacation
Review House was a little hard to find because the GPS wasn’t accurate but the pictures really helped and the owners were super helpful. From the moment I walked in I was excited about the cottage. The alexa music was on playing softly which immediately created a vibe. The rooms are beautiful. They were a touch smaller than I expected but that doesn’t take away from the beauty or feeling of spaciousness. The open floor plan of the living room, kitchen and dining room make it feel larger. The small touches make it feel very comfortable and homey, yet exciting. There are dog bowls!!! This made me feel like my dog was a wanted guest instead of an accommodation. I didn’t realize there was a hot tub until I arrived!! It’s a 3 minute walk to the beach, which was almost empty during my visit (April). I honestly wish I lived here. Hosts are very generous and responsive.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage! It was the perfect size for the four of us and our two dachshunds. I will never forget this trip since it is the first time our dogs have gone on vacation with us and the first time they have ever seen the ocean. The location of the cottage is ideal since you can walk to the beach in a few minutes and you can hear the waves crashing from the house, especially in the evening. The beds were very comfortable. The extra touches and decorations inside the house were so charming and made you feel like you are at the beach. The communication with Stacy, the host, was top notch. She always responded to any questions that I had and was very pleasant and helpful. You will not be disappointed if you book this cottage. The hot tub was an extra bonus. I also loved the fact that there is a walking/biking path in front of the house, which was perfect for my early morning runs and was also great to walk our dogs and ride bikes that were also provided. Thank you so much, Stacy for making our stay in Emerald Isle one that we will never forget!

Nothing is better than a hot tub near the beach
The property is extremely cute and comfortable. I am a big fan of their interior design. The wall made of oyster shell. A tub inside the bedroom ! The little detailed decorations. The house owner offered a free bottle of wine as well. Enjoy a nice hot tub at night with cozy camp fire ! Nothing is better than laying down in a hot tub looking at the stars at night and hearing the sound of the wave . I wish I live here forever ! The house owner is also really kind to let us stay little extra hours since we checked in late . So we could enjoy more of the property . I am greatly appreciate for that kindness. This is actually the first property that I rented so far equipped with so many cooking seasonings and sauces in the fridge . The only suggestion I would have is some coffee creamer and a blender and maybe switch to bigger bottles of body wash ,shampoo, conditioner for people maybe stay longer period of time . Summer time would be amazing cause it is so close to the beach and there are bikes you could ride around as well. It is a good place for family since it is a two bedrooms house with a cute little area for kids to climb in . I wish I am here when I am a kid ! We would definitely coming back for the hot tub again !!! Highly recommend this place !!!!

Best for couples or a single traveler
Cons: -Despite being cute, the shower in the master bedroom was not very functional for us, so we used the shower in the second bathroom instead. For parties of more than two, this could be an issue. Even for a small person, it is pretty tight. A frameless glass door instead of a shower curtain might open up the space some. -Our older dog had difficulty navigating the yard because it was unmaintained, and she repeatedly fell into the weeds. This caused her to get a tick that she passed on to my husband. -The outside shower could be more functional if a platform or concrete slab was built so that you don't have to use it in the dirt. -A cockroach was spotted in the master bedroom the night before we checked out. Despite our efforts, it always retreated into the gaps between the shiplap, so we were not able to catch it. -The hot tub was dirty. The host said someone would come to clean it, but that did not happen until the morning we checked out. -For less than we paid for four nights, we could have rented a larger, newer home closer to the beach for an entire week. Pros: -The home was clean and the pictures were accurate. -The decor is very cute and matches the 1950s theme. -The host provided many wonderful recommendations for nearby places to eat and things to do. These could be compiled into a binder and left for guests at check-in. -In the shed, there were beach gear and bikes that were helpful. -The location was good and close to a walking trail and the beach.
