"Could have done with aircon as the radiator kept turning on auto and it was a little hot to sleep. Very nice hotel though, good staff and food/drink. We had a nice stay and would stay again."

"Hotel is clean and the staffs are friendly. Parking is free and spacious not the usual tight parking spaces. Breakfast is good but gets boring. They are offering the same everyday. But all in all it's a good stay and will prefer the same hotel when needed a place to stay in the area. "

"Room 204 needs two wall outlets replaced (not working) Bedside light has one of the switches pushed into the surface making it inoperable. Rooms need to have electronic USB connectors to charge electronics. Other than that all is good. Bathroom light switch in accessible unless you put the room light on. A night light may improve that situation."

"From turning up the driveway to the moment we left we felt like special guests who were staying in an historic English castle. The key aspect of this stay was that you are staying in a castle steeped in English and Scottish history. It has been adapted in keep with historic guidance to make it a 4 star hotel and so there are interesting rooms, nooks and cranny’s which make it a unique and exciting place to spend some special time with family. All the staff are very tentative and eager to please. The rooms open to all guests are elegant and there was ample seating and the rooms were all lovely and warm. Our room, The Cadwallader Room, was majestic and beautiful. Access was via the original spiral staircase which may be a challenge to anyone with mobility issues. This would also be the case for a few of the other rooms so check in advance if you have concerns. Beautiful grounds with peacocks and lovely paths to stroll around. Ample parking. We had breakfast which was table service. Lovey full English and eggs Benedict. Other people had continental breakfast’s which also looked delicious. Great location to explore Hadrians Wall and other local historic sights. They give you a free Langley castle history tour each morning at 1015am which I would recommend as it’s nice and light hearted giving you a glimpse into the history the castle has witnessed up to the current day. I would recommend this stay to anyone who wants to have a relaxed time where you are spolit. "

"The hotel were very helpful when requesting a slightly earlier check in due to attending a family wedding and needing to get a 3 year old ready to be a flower girl before hand. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The room was very spacious and the large bath was amazing! Breakfast was very expensive, especially for pastry's, orange juice etc but hit the spot."

"We had an amazing anniversary stay at this beautiful, charming hotel. We were greeted by welcoming, friendly staff upon arrival, and check in was quick and easy. Our room was immaculate and impressively decorated. The bed was very comfortable, but the stand out feature was the tin bath - a real showstopper. I would highly recommend this hotel for a romantic night away."
