"We really enjoyed our stay at Huntly Country Cottage. It was very comfortable and the hosts, Meagan and Mitch, added some lovely touches. Oats and cornflakes, an assortment of condiments, Helgas bread, and some nice touches in the bathroom. Being on a semi-rural property was something different, and having chooks and a few rabbits outside the property was lovely. It was great having a secure area to leave our small dog when we went out for dinner. Bendigo hasn't had any decent rain for months, so the area around the property is very dry and bare, but we certainly enjoyed our stay at Huntly Country Cottage and will stay there again."

"In summary - quiet, rural, friendly. Beautifully decorated, comfy and warm room part of, but separate from, the main house. Lots of well behaved dogs, chooks, guinea fowl, cats to share the stay with. Bonus was the cooked breakfast! Axedale is on the rail bike trail and Bendigo has so much to offer!"
