"Beautiful and comfy little cabin with a great view of the lake. We had a wonderful time fishing and driving around the lake. It was cold and windy, so we did not use the kayaks. Great dock. It is very close to town, which has a grocery store, many great eating places and a great thrift store. The refrigerator is a small dorm fridge with no freezer. There is no internet available at the cabin, but there is a TV with a blue ray DVD player. The cabin is on the same property as the owners and there is a shared drive. We had a great time and hope to visit again when the weather is warmer. You might add a picture of the kitchenette so guests can know what appliances are available."

"This cabin is our happy place. This is our second visit and we enjoyed the updates including the footbridge, paths, and lookout stand. The hosts have thoughtfully provided all the amenities we needed for a stress-free getaway. We enjoyed using the firepit, grill, and even the DVD player. I already miss drinking my morning coffee on the wraparound porch. We can't wait to schedule our next visit! "

"We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house was clean, kitchen was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and the location was perfect. My daughter and her friends, who attend Tabor college, thoroughly enjoyed the downstairs and played pool every day. I enjoyed the big kitchen to make home cook meals for the college “kids”. The landlord was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Hillsboro or Marion. NOTE: we had been staying in another VRBO rental, which had issues, not the owner’s fault and I found this rental, Laurie was so responsive, accommodated our situation and we were able to change houses the very next day."

"Beautiful historic preservation - elegantly decorated space and comfortable bed. Nice amenities.Walked to Hays House, Watts coffeeshop and Riverbank Brewery just around the corner. Great bookstore on the same corner and 56 Donuts a quick drive down the road. Gray starting point for the Flint Hills tour."

"The Crawford place is amazing! It is located above the sweetest boutique in a historic downtown building. The place is immaculate! Beds were comfy. It was the perfect place for a group of friends to get away from city life and refill.We frequented The Hays House, a historic restaurant formerly owned by Daniel Boone’s relative (& where I had the absolute best mashed potatoes!), the bookstore (where I had a lively interaction with the owner), and another little shop that served coffee, lunch, and amazing baked goods.I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a sweet place to rest and refill!"

"We were so lucky to have found this unique stay less than a couple hours away where we could have lots of adventures in and around the Flint Hills. The silo was beautifully converted and our kids had so much fun exploring the grounds and nearby creek. Thank you for sharing your property with us. "This house is so cute and was perfect for our girl's trip with 4 adults. It is within walking distance of Main Street and a great coffee shop for morning coffee. The host provided all the supplies we needed other than food, which was most appreciated. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Council Grove."
