Glamping Downeast- Relax after exploring Acadia and experience Glamping in a cute Tiny House A-Frame Cabin (on wheels) with a bathroom with a real flush toilet, located in the heart of Downeast Maine. Deep in the woods and at the edge of the lake, you will feel like you are a million miles away yet we are conveniently located just 10 miles from historic Ellsworth (the gateway to Acadia) and another 18 miles from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.
Here are some things that you might find important. Please message us if you have any questions or special needs.
- The View - The Camp offers a fantastic view of the Lake and the wetlands. And on a clear day you can see Cadillac Mountain from the the edge of the lake.
- The Bathroom - The Tiny A-Frame has a bathroom with hot water and a real flush toilet. And its enclosed (private) outdoor shower that looks out toward the lake is on the cabins deck.
-The Location - We are close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor yet far enough away to avoid the crowds, traffic, and noise. Our Glamping Camps are deep in the woods on our seven acre private property, not in a campground or "Glamping Resort." We also have a single glamping Tent and a vintage Airstream on our property.
-The Bed - The Tiny A-Frame features a double bed with a real mattress, crisp, clean sheets, and cozy duvets.
-Wi-Fi - We do not have Wi-Fi (we are in the woods) but there is very good cellular data service available.
-Cooking - The Tiny A-Frame Cabin features a kitchen sink, counter, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a gas grill. We provide pots, pans and cooking utensils and plates, cups, and eating utensils. The kitchen's refrigerator is stocked with condiments and essentials and the ingredients for S'Mores.
-Nightly Campfire - The campfire ring with comfortable Adirondack chairs is adjacent to the outdoor kitchen area. There is no need to bring or buy firewood, we have lots.
The road in to our property is a half mile camp road that takes you deep into the woods. No traffic, no noise, just seclusion, quiet, trees, and the beautiful lake.
Please note that the Tiny House A-Frame Cabin is about 125 feet down a gravel path from the parking area (and just steps to the lake) so you cannot park right next to the tent. We have a luggage cart/wagon available if needed.
***We do not allow dogs or animals of any kind. It is a safety issue. There is a risk of an interaction with wildlife in the area.
***Glamping Downeast is in Maine's great outdoors so be prepared to accept the inherent risk of your adventure including wildlife, insects, and unpredictable conditions (we can’t control weather). Come with an adventurous and open mind, and some bug spray.
