Charming Mini Ski House w Hot Tub perfect for a small family or group of friends

The Killington features an open floor plan with a combination living room and Dining area perfect for a small group or family. The open kitchen has an island bar with seating separating in from the living room. A large stone fireplace is the centerpiece of the living room featuring cathedral ceilings to give it a big feel. Included are two bedrooms – one with a queen bed and a set of bunk beds with the other having one queen bed. The living room has 2 queen pullout sofas. There is a wood burning fireplace in the main living room. We are just a few minute walk from the Sunset Ski Slope at HOLIMONT which creates great hiking for three seasons. This chalet is a great place year round. The area is famous for its winter activities including skiing at Holimont or Holiday Valley, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing and snowmobiling. In summer there is golf, tennis and wonderful hiking, biking and challenging mountain biking in the immediate area. Very disappointing all around. Too much to list. No WiFi/ Internet - cleanliness.... Mouse in the bed pushed us over the edge. Packed up and left the first night. No refunds of ANY sort from owner- WOW!!! My fault for not going to see it first. Also, this place had NO reviews. Again- RED FLAG!!! Live and learn!

There were a number of issues related to this listing. Firstly, there was gross misrepresentation regarding the amenities. There was no washer/dryer, dishwasher or adequate plates/utensils. There was no cable TV. Secondly, the property was filthy with ants infesting the entire building coupled with rodent feces in the kitchen drawers. Lastly, when we contacted the property owners regarding the above issues they ignored our concerns and requests for compensation. VRBO should not allow this property to be listed on their site.

We realize the property manager/owner was in a difficult position due to weather, but this is inexcusable. We never received check-in information (or check-out information). I had contact VRBO (which is not easy). The digital lock wasn't working and he gave us the wrong entry number for the key lock. Once inside it just got worse. Overall the place was dirty - crusty refrigerator, ants, dirty blankets, etc. There was an open window that we could not access to close, so we had an open window in the main space the whole time. The water had a very strong smell (Sulfur) - very disgusting! It actually ruined my silver jewelry. We did not proper bedding. The dishes were a mish-mosh and not enough for the number of inhabitants. There was literally one butter knife in the while house and not enough silverware for all of us. We had to wash every dish we used. A few lights were broken, the ceiling fan was disgusting. It think you get the picture. I recommend finding another option if available!
