Nestling peacefully besides the owners’ home and it is just a short stroll from the centre of the delightful borderlands town of Ellesmere, located in the heart of the Shropshire lake district, with its fine selection of eateries, shops, beautiful freshwater meres canal and one of the oldest real ale pubs in Shropshire. This property makes a perfect location for a family holiday or short break whatever the season. The area offers a myriad of activities including beautiful country walks, fishing, golf, sailing and kayaking on the River Dee in Llangollen, which is also home to a steam railway and horse-drawn narrow boat rides. Chester and Shrewsbury are both easily accessible, as are Chirk and Powis Castle (National Trust). Shop, pub and restaurant 0.25 miles.

We had a lovely 2 week stay with our boys and puppy. The house was great for our two boys with autism, particularly the enclosed outdoor space and the layout of the bedrooms. They loved having their own en suites. The hot tub was also a massive hit. I personally loved the big stand alone bathtub! The hosts were lovely, helpful and welcoming. Great location for a wonder into the village centre. We were also well placed for visiting some lovely national trust properties that were bookable due to covid. Great weekend break for our girls get together annual trip! . Beautiful house & fabulous hot tub! The owners were welcoming & helpful without any way being intrusive. Beautiful area & small town only 10 minutes walk away. We had a night out on the Saturday & attended a private party at a bar called ’ the vault’ locals were so welcoming!! Sooo glad we chose this cottage for our weekend xx definitely recommend x

Our family enjoyed their stay at Morton Grange and the owners kindly supplied extra fans for the hottest day of the year! The cottage is well appointed but worth noting a few things: Fridge and Freezer way too small for family of six. Only King bedroom is served by a reduced height access bath tub (no shower) so didn't work for my 6ft 1" partner. The rule about showering before entering hot tub would be best observed by installing an outside shower otherwise, wet puddles from one of two showers in the house. My adult children were somewhat critical of the hot tub, lights, jets etc do not work just an FYI. There is also a sign stating "no noise after 10 PM" that seems a little Draconian for a holiday let, no respite even at weekends? Overall, 8/10 but please heed the above to make it a solid 10/10.

Six of us had a fantastic time.
Six of us had a fantastic time. The property could not be faulted and catered for everyone. Was spotless! The hot tub was nicely secluded at the back so wasn’t overlooked. I think we have all agreed that it will be our new annual visit. We visited the Greek restaurant on arrival and was very nice. Some did attempt the circular walk but too muddy however will be worth doing next time. Thank you for a great stay and well done on making it such a lovely place to relax.

Communication with owner prior to stay was good. On arrival the house was spotlessly clean and nice and warm! Hot tub also nice and hot ready for us! Owner came to say hello and check all was well and then didn’t intrude at all the whole weekend. All good with the house. Bit of a strange layout and a bit dark in the living room but apart from that all was well. Location good - just a walk into town centre and a drive to Oswestry. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Made good use of the hot tub! Would stay again. Brilliant value for money. Thank you!
