"We had a pleasant overnight stay in the autumn off-season. Our room and the Inn were very quiet, especially with few other guests. It is an old building with some oddities of slightly sloping/uneven floors. However, this just gave it more character and it seems to fit very well with the Green Gables history of the Cavendish area. "This is our second year coming to stay at Long River Retreat and the new owners Kevin and Tina are amazing people, very friendly and accommodating, we hope to be back again in the years coming! "

"The host was friendly and accommodating, but this was not a VRBO, or a B&B..this was a very nice Inn. Each room had a private bathroom. There were 2-3 other rooms rented to other guests outside of our group, the host lives on site, and there is no common area to meet (like a dining or living room) other than the narrow porch, or the next door hotel’s gazebo. The host was willing to let us use her kitchen, but that felt awkward, and the table was too small for all of us anyway. She did not...

"Lesley was a lovely host. The rooms are very nice and spacious. The bathroom is huge with all the amenities. We were only able to try the breakfast 1 of our days, but they put out a delicious offer of breakfast food and pastries. I would recommend again!"

Loved the view from the covered deck of the water and the local animal life {rabbits, squirrels and several species of birds including a couple of raptors."
