Nice Place
Lovely place, a little bit out of town, but an easy tuk tuk journey to all the restaurants and shops. The owner, Aruna, was very nice and helpful. I thought breakfast was lovely, however my husband was not keen on sri lankan food for breakfast, so Aruna prepared boiled eggs and tomatoes for him. Thank you.

Amazing breakfast one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. A little further out but tuk tuks are cheap Or you can walk so it's no big deal

After a long train journey and running tuk-tuk alley out of the station and through town it was great to be welcomed without any fuss, drop my stuff and then have a pot of tea. Family run. Really friendly. That said, your view of River House will depend on your view of Ella itself. It is genuinely out of town. Not far, but enough to notice. If you're in Ella because you want pizza, burgers and house music - after a couple of weeks of Rice and Curry - maybe you want to be more in amongst it. If you're suffering the Western-style culture for a few nice walks, maybe out of town is the place for you. And you've got a head start for Ravenna's cave at River House. Anyway I liked it. Would happily stay here again.

Another great find! The view has been lost to a new temple being built, but that did not spoil our visit. Spacious room, spacious (wildbathro)om and clever inclusion of nature. Great location to the waterfalls and an easy walk into the town centre.

Lovely home. Great private room. Super Friendly.
Easy check in just below Ella town on the main road. Friendly family people you get to stay with that supply an awesome local food breakfast daily. Highly recommend.

Отличный отель. В шаговой доступности от пещеры Равана и Эллы рок. Расположен у дороги, но классно продумано и сделано так что ощущаешь тишину отдыхая на балконе после пеших походов по округе. В номере все необходимое есть. Хозяин - отличный парень, который старается сделать ваше проживание комфортным. Автопарковки как таковой нет, но нам удалось поставить наше авто прямо под балкончиком, а не где-то в лесу, как предлагалось. До центра города километра 2. Мы ездили на тук-туке, они всегда стояли рядом. Не проблема.

En övernattning på genomresa
Bra för en natt eller man vill ha det enkelt . Saknades AC så det var varmt och fuktigt. Fläkten fungerade inte och vi saknade små handdukar. Frukosten bra. Trevlig kille som tog emot oss. Frukost serverades inte förrän kl 8 lite nackdel om man vill iväg tidigt. Bra till billigt pris.

Ut over det tittelen sier, så sov vi heldigvis bare en natt ved Ella River House. Rommene var lite innbydende og hadde en svak lukt av mugg. Pluss for rent og mykt sengetøy, men minus for beliggenhet. Mye trafikk fra tidlig morgen gjorde at jeg lå våken fra kl.0500. Mennene som drev stedet var hyggelige og imøtekommende, men ikke et sted jeg bor på en gang til.

Jättenöjd med detta hotell! Det ligger 20 minuter med gång från Ella town och det fungerar att gå eller ta tuktuk. Jättetrevlig värd som gjorde jättegod lankesisk frukost på morgonen som ingick i priset för rummet. Fräscht rum med fläkt och myggnät för en billig peng.

Lovely stay at Ella Riverhouse!
We stayed at Ella riverhouse for two nights on our way to east coast. The room was super! Clean, fresh and with comfortable beds. A bit sultry but there is a fan that helps a lot (rather a bit muggy than a room full with insects, right?) The hotel owner was really helpful and served us a delicious breakfast in the morning and ordered a tuktuk whenever we needed. The bus is also stopping just right outside the hotel, which is a cheaper alternative to transport to Ella town, Ravana Falls or towards the east coast. However, Ella riverhouse is a really cousy hotel with really good rooms and service. We are highly recommending it.

No parking space at all
We were not able to stay there as the location did not provide parking space as they mention. Many tuk tuk are parked in front of the hotel located on the major road not the same location as they mention. Lost my money and time. The room visited was clean with a spaciouse washroom. Location is at the entrance of the cave and monaster road.
