Close to Nature!
What a beautiful space to spend a few days relaxing, hiking in the Shenendehowa’s, visiting local wineries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house overlooks a wonderful view. Birdsong filled the air and a lovely woodpecker (pileated) visited to show its bright colors. We had every thing we needed - a comfy bed, a modern kitchen and bathroom, and quiet!

Little slice of Heaven
This perfect sized loft is just what my daughter and I needed to get away for a few days. We hiked 2 days at Shenandoah Natl Park which was simply awe inspiring! Then got to come back to enjoy the view at the loft. Couldn’t have asked for anything else. Book the cabin, you won’t be disappointed.

This property was the perfect getaway for our anniversary. A great place for peace and quiet, with the opportunity to refresh. The place is wonderfully located, and just right even during rainy days. The views and stars were amazing. When they say 4-wheel drive recommended though, they mean it. I was not sure we were actually going to get up the drive, but fortunately we had good weather. All said, this was one of the best places I have ever stayed and will likely stay again.

Wonderful Experience!
Our stay at the Overlook Loft was nothing short of perfect. We were in contact with the owner via email prior to our check-in and he was very responsive. The instructions were very clear, concise and simple to follow. The cabin was as described. It was clean, cozy and quiet. It far exceeded our expectations for the secluded getaway we were looking for. It offered beautiful sunsets over the Massanutten mountain range that we enjoyed off the large deck each night. My fiancé and I took advantage of the Shenandoah National Park and hiked many of the trails and drove along Skyline drive to many of the beautiful overlooks along the way. I highly recommend this property and would certainly consider booking it again in the future.

Awesome weekend getaway spot 🙂
The house is warm and welcoming. Awesome view. Fully stocked kitchen. No toiletries were included, but there were plenty of towels. Smart TV for entertainment. The last mile of the drive is up a steep dirt road. My only complaint is that there were ants (really weird this late in the winter season). The ant problem was easy to get over simply by not leaving food out on the counter. I'll message management about this after I write this review. Ants aside, this stay exceeded my expectations. Best weekend getaway spot with the misses ☺️

Superb Mountain Getaway
This was the perfect place for an anniversary trip! The home was well decorated, everything was clean and orderly, and the kitchen was well supplied (only thing missing was an ice cream scoop). We loved the mountain views and sounds of nature. Upon arriving we were a bit concerned about the proximity of neighboring homes, but with the way the home and deck are situated we quickly forgot we weren't alone on the mountaintop. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely week long stay for our babymoon. The cabin is accurately described and the photos lend a good impression of the space. It’s very private and peaceful with really nice views. Agree with other reviewers that 4WD or at least a small SUV’s amount of ground clearance are very useful for getting up to the property, but it’s worth it if your goal is private respite/nice views. Property was stocked with helpful basics eg some spices, coffee filters, laundry detergent, etc.

We loved this spot. The house has everything needed for a getaway & is really nicely remodeled. The view from deck & bedroom can’t be beat. The drive to the house was a little tricky for this suburban girl but that just meant fewer trips out! We were sad to leave it.

Such a wonderful place for a quiet getaway. Road definitely needs an SUV! Host was very helpful, would go back there in a heartbeat. Great for those who love hiking as Skyline drive is very close.

Spring getaway
We were looking for a quiet, well maintained place, with a view to stay while visiting Shenandoah Park. Overlook Loft is exactly that. Perfect place for a couple to stay. Had to drive a bit getting out to the main road. Not a problem for us. The road in is steep in places and 4WD is recommended. Never saw any neighbors. It is clear that neighbors would appreciate rentees that are quiet and respectful of private property. We would definitely rent here again.

What a view!
My husband and I chose the Overlook Loft as a weekend getaway for just the two of us for the views, and it absolutely exceeded expectations! We watched the sunset while we sipped wine on the deck, and we could see the stars overhead while we slept. All we could hear was birds chirping! The cabin had everything we needed, was clean and smelled great, and was a little less than 30 minutes from Shenandoah National Park where we were able to enjoy some beautiful hikes off Skyline Drive. It definitely helped to have an SUV to get up there, probably would have been doable but very bumpy in a small car. One thing we didn't realize until we got there is that the cabin is in a quiet neighborhood, so there are other homes nearby. We recommend!

Amazing time at the overlook loft
House is amazing, as well as the views. Jimmy was excellent and openly communicated to make sure our stay was everything we hoped for. The loft with window overlooking the mountains was the reason behind booking, but the location, and the rest of the home did not disappoint. I would highly recommend and hope to book again.

Peaceful Cabin
We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin is peaceful, clean, and there are the necessities to cook. We stayed for the last week of the year into New Years, and it was just what we wanted. The owner checked in with us via email. We drove regular cars but it's definitely an off road experience driving from the main road to the cabin. The cabin is situated on a steep hill, although we drove a regular car you'd definitely need 4WD/AWD during bad weather... We were lucky. If you want a peaceful get away, this is the place!
