"Despite the chilly weather, we enjoyed our stay tremendously. Or perhaps BECAUSE of the chilly weather? While we did get out to explore (Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley State Parks) during the sunny days, we slept in late each morning and returned in the afternoon to curl up by the fireplace with books and music. We cooked all of our meals in the well-stocked kitchen and dined together “at home.” The beds were very comfortable and made with high quality linens. Showering was even a treat! The collections on display kept us entertained throughout our stay. I’m sure we didn’t take in everything over the three days. At night we relaxed in the hot tub, under the stars. We look forward to visiting again during a different season so we can see more of the local area. "

"Hotel was the best we have stayed at so far. It was quiet. Close by bursa doughnuts and mora bakery. A walk away from tip top coffee and the train history site. We had an amazing time!"

"Room was very spacious and clean. Fridge amd microwave in room, washer and dryer on site for small fee. Breakfast was typical for free continental bagels, muffins, cereal, biscuits and gravy etc. Staff was very friendly! There is a gas station directly across the street with a subway of you sont feel like driving into Davis. It is only a short drive into town and to Blackwater falls:)"

"House & property described to a tee! Our son is a student athlete at D&E and was unable to leave for spring break so we went to him. It was exactly what we expected. WV experienced all four seasons in one week. It made our stay even better. We walked the river on the warm days, admired the sleet, hail and snow on the others. Enjoyed the hot tub & the heated bathroom floors. Will come back for some kayaking in the summer. Loved it! Ohhhh and the beds are comfy! Thank you!"
