"This is not your standard chain hotel. Although the overall architecture is 1970s motel style, the color choices, furnishings, and materials used in upgrading have produced a very sophisticated, upscale ambience. Life House Berkshire is promoted as a writer’s retreat. The lobby/bar appears to be from a tropical boutique hotel. Everything extra (meals, snacks) costs extra - no free breakfast here. "Some aspects were great, some not. The hotel restruant is an Indian cuisine which we do not like. The room we stayed in has wall and floor structural problems. There was also a camera pin hole in the ceiling over the tub I stuffed a tissue into. It was noisy between 10 to 11 pm as a group of loud drunks were walking down the hall."

"It is convenient for families with little ones during the off-season to have fun with the pool-activities-arcade and movie theatre on site. It is an easy drive from areas of MA-NY and CT to make it a convenient family weekend get away-rooms are getting dated and could use some sprucing and updating but are overall clean "
