"Excellent accommodation - the house is well presented and full of character. There is plenty of space and it is well equipped. It is in a small village accessed up a winding mountain road. The area is rural and unspoilt, and popular with hikers and cyclists. The house was an ideal place from which to explore locally and farther afield, including Bilbao and Santander."

Weather not Dorleta’s fault but unless you read the description and looked at the photos very carefully the fact that there is only one external window and that in the kitchen area is not apparent."

Quelques bémols, concernant la vaisselle, les ustensiles, la maison n’est pas assez fournie. Cafetière trop petite pour 8. "This cottage is actually newly built, very clean, modern design and well-stocked. I found it to be a great location to visit many places in the Basque region ranging from coast to city to mountains. It was nice not to have to drive out and back in to a city every day. I would stay here again. "

"For anybody thinking that this will be a 'charming' rustic experience - please reconsider! We were unable to stay here - the place was musty and dark with poor cooking facilities and a layout that didnt work for us - the terrace was unusable due to mosquitoes and we couldnt open windows to air it out for same reason. We are used to camping and would prefer a tent to this accommodation. At 200 Euros a night it is hardly BUDGET - and fell well below our expectations. We didnt even last 15 minutes...

"We spent a lovely four nights here. The condo was on an upper floor, with plenty of parking at the side of the building. We used supermarkets in Durango (5-10 min drive away) for groceries. It was easy to drive into Durango and take the train to Bilbao for the day too. The kitchen had the basic things you might need (small oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, washer, dishwasher, but no kettle?) and the shower was pleasingly powerful. The air con was very welcome in the sticky July...
