"This property has no parking. Once you find parking and walk to the street closest you have over a mile up hill and stairs. You have to carry you luggage, cooler, etc up many stairs. You need to be met by an employee because it is difficult to find and she speaks very little English so it was hard to understand where to meet her and so got frustrated. After seeing the place we immediately left and found the Vathi Hotel which is 5 stars and cheaper."

"Even as beautiful as it looks online, the photos still do not compare to how truly breathtaking this property is in person! The facilities are lovely, surrounded by flowers with an incredible view of the ocean down below. Liza and Volker were so very kind and attentive, ensuring we had any amenities we needed and graciously making themselves available to us. We were so comfortable and so delighted by our stay here — until next time!"

"Terrible experience: shower is tiny and water floods everywhere. Two dead bugs in it. Pillows are small and extremely thick, as the mattresses are. It was impossible to sleep properly. AC working very badly: noisy and leaking water on our heads while trying to catch sleep. We left after one day, despite 5 night booking. Not nice losing the money, but we didn’t want to have our vacation ruined. Expedia agent was very kind and efficient to help us, we can’t say the same with the property owner....

"We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a bicycle trip in the peloponnese. The location in old town was perfect - a bit busy during the day, but wonderful after about 5:00 p.m. The accomodation was excellent, but be aware that if you are trying to self-cater and use the kitchen facilities, there is no real grocery store in the old town, so you have to walk/drive the 1.5 km back to the new town (which has great facilities). "This place is amazing! We got to use two different places and they were both amazing! One was on the ground floor and the other second floor. Amazing view from both! "5 stars! The Elea Mare is a fabulous value in an authentic Greek coastal village, run by a host (Greg) who personifies customer care. We can’t praise him enough for the warmth of his interactions with us! As an example, our young-adult daughter became mildly sick during our stay, and Greg provided tea and offered to check up on her when we left her in the hotel by herself for half a day. The hotel is a short walk from a small beach and town harbor and near several excellent dining options....
