It was peaceful and quiet and we enjoyed the break from all of the reunion festivities. I appreciated all of the extra little touches that were included. When I've rented properties before I've had to provide things such as soap, tissues, shampoo, a sponge, and dish soap. It was nice to have all of those provided. The apartment was charming and had many interesting design elements. We were still discovering things we hadn't noticed this morning. I would recommend this property!"

"We love to stay on a river, so looked around for something near St. Louis and this looked perfect. After a hot day of driving we were thrilled to walk into the house with the AC on, music playing, lights on, a bottle of wine on the table and fresh cookies on the counter. I have never had such a nice welcome to a VRBO - nice touches! We enjoyed being on the river, but disappointed that it was almost too hot to sit on the porch (obviously no one's fault, just bad timing). However, it was fun to watch the barges go by and the house had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts live right next door, and we had a nice talk with their daughter and a visit from their dogs."

You can feel the love of a family throughout each room. We especially appreciated the untouched farm ambiance, just like walking into grandma's when we were young. We found the accommodations to be comfortable for our week long stay. We slept long and soundly every night! The trails and spots of serenity throughout the property were welcoming, thoughtful and special. Much time was spent outside walking, reading and peddling around the lake. During hot summer days, we appreciated ample shade provided by beautiful, mature trees and continuously commented about the constant gentle breeze.
