"My husband myself and our 2 friends just loved it there. All the connivence of home. Close to everything we wanted to do. And after running around all day, it was nice to come back have a small bonfire and enjoy the hot tub. We defiantly what to come back during the summer months to enjoy the lake and to see other places we didn't get to see the 4 days we were there. "

"This was the second time we have stayed at George's Hilltop Retreat (the first time was one year before). It is difficult finding places to stay that allow dogs, especially dogs that weigh more than 20 lbs. That is one of the things I like about George's. Not only are dogs welcome, but there are supplies in the house to make the stay with dogs easier for the guests (couch covers, food dishes, etc.). "the building was built in the 1930s yes its old . what a beautiful house. great porch great kitchen with shiplap walls and ceiling. very functional everything was there frig microwave toaster oven , nice bedrooms shower worked great . great yard firepit with chairs car parking on site .fantastic view of the lake. easy access to town and restaurants in walking distance . we were there to fish. great access to the lake. overall we liked it very much. hope to stay again next year."

"One bdrm had a queen, one a king and one a bunk bed with 2 larger than twin / smaller than double beds. The queen and king rooms had 2 tiny 'tables' for suitcases, purses, phones, etc. The bunk bed room and none; so the 75- and 78-year olds had all their belongings that couldn't hand in the closet on the floor. Also, ladder to the top bunk had narrow metal rungs which were painful to climb (she solved that by leaving her shoes on). We also had ONE very mature 10-year-old girl who we had to list...

"Very cool house in a quiet area with a magnificent view and beach. The house is a woodsy surrounding but the view from the deck, main room and kitchen seating island is amazing. Kitchen has everything you need to support cooking all your meals. The house worked well for us, just two people and we had a third person with us for three nights. Beach was quiet and lovely for long walks. Communication with owner was great through the app and he was responsive. Thank you!"

"This cottage, adjacent to a family home, was perfect for our weekend away. Owners were on top of everything and added homey touches like fresh flowers. Only drawback is that both bedroom doors are glass-fronted, which is not great for light or privacy. That's my only complaint, and that's very small, but might be a dealbreaker for some."

"We booked this cabin in June 2024. The view was wonderful to wake up to each morning. We used the fire pit for s’mores one night. We also used the kayaks and paddle boards. The cabin was exactly as pictured. It’s a short drive to Frankfort, which has lots of cute shops and good places to eat. I highly recommend Stormcloud Brewery for a delicious meal. I also highly recommend staying at this cabin. We will definitely book it again for future trips!"

"We truly enjoyed our stay as the place was well stocked with all of the amenities necessary for a comfortable visit. The special attention paid to the little things were much appreciated. We did run out of propane while cooking our streaks and had to finish them on the stove which was disappointing. "

"Ten men in their forties had enough room to relax and unwind in this perfect vacation home! All amenities in the house got used and the kitchen is so stocked next time I can leave all my cooking utensils at home! The only thing it’s missing is a picnic table outside! We took advantage of the large table to board game throughout the weekend. The unexpected surprise was the parlor games in the basement! Everything was enjoyed!"
