He arranged/recommended a tour that picked us up at the hotel and took us to the monasteries so we didn't have to do the drive ourselves. The building is old but updated with modern comforts, so it's historical and comfortable at the same time."

The downstairs area was very inviting for my family to play card games at night. The walk into the town, and lots of restaurants and shops, was easy and safe.
