"The gate to the property is hidden from the main road. It's opposite an industrial park. The private drive to the property is a dirt track and will take 10 minutes. It is only suitable for 4 x 4 cars and confident drivers. However, you can see plenty of rabbits and the odd owl along the way. The villa is looked after by a lovely couple, with a son who can talk a bit of English. They don't. They are on site and will help you navigate the use of the villa. "This was such an amazing house and the location was unbeatable! We were in the heart of the city with great restaurants and shopping right outside our door. The house is spacious and had great sleeping options and baths for a larger group. Everything was clean and well maintained. The A/C was so welcomed after a day of walking around midsummer. The separation of bedrooms allowed for our teens to stay up later while we slept. We will be back!!"

"This apartment has so much promise. It is VERY clean, new and spacious. It is also centrally located to restaurants, bars and the Cathedral. On the face it’s great. The quirks made it hard to love. We were there for 6 days.The first night we were there, the AC stopped working. We couldn’t open the windows because there was a large party of teens outside making a ton of noise. "Casa Monsalves was a beautiful home in a great location. The bedrooms, kitchen, common areas were large. The management responded promptly to our questions and needs. We were able to walk to shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, etc from our “home”. Having a washer and dryer was a plus, especially since they worked more efficiently than others we have used on past travels. One thing that would be helpful is to explain how the washing machine and dryer work. Otherwise, a great experience. "
