"Breakfast was very nice - lots of tasty options, the beach was right out the front door and lots of restaurants to choose from. The ocean view from our large windows and walk out balcony was wonderful. The high winds on the first night made a constant whistling sound through the balcony door and the hotel employee offered to tape the door shut. "The location of this property is excellent for walking to nearby shops, restaurants and the pier. The staff was very professional and helpful. They went above and beyond to help us get oriented to the area and to coordinate transportation. The services offered by the spa were wonderful. "This is the 3rd time trying to write this review. On the way to the airport leaving the US, I messaged Complejo La Lucila to tell them that I would be checking in at around 8pm. They responded with one word, saying our reservation was cancelled. No explenation was given, other than they sold the room to someone else. We were on our way to a foreign country and remote area with no place to stay. No other rooms in the city were available."

"We got the balcony that we asked for. It was pretty hot, so didn’t get to use it as much as I would’ve liked. An umbrella or shade on the balcony would’ve been great. The rooms with a balcony were smaller. The bathroom just had the small sink, so nowhere to put toiletries. The window had a blackout screen. Nice, but, some sheer curtains would’ve been nice in addition to the blackout screen. You asked my opinion :) The location was great. Staff was very accommodating. "
