Lovely hotel, but must question their ethics
This was our forth stay at this hotel and have enjoyed staying there. Unfortunately there was an issue one evening when going to dinner, when we saw a dead juvenile silky shark displayed on the food counter. As divers (and the whole reason to go to Egypt in the first place), we were totally horrified to see this. We complained to the Restaurant Manager, who looked at us with total bewilderment, as all he could see was a few divers being upset and hundreds of Russians taking photographs, thinking this was a great idea.
This issue was escalated to Management and the local dive company got involved as well, not sure what the outcome has been though.
The rest of the staff were brilliant as usual and always cannot do enough to help.
We do not use the pool facilities during the day as we are diving, but it is large and with plenty of sun beds.
Food is very good for buffet style and mix it up, so not to be too similar every day.
So enjoyable stay but not happy with their ethics, considering diving is one of their greatest tourist attractions.
