Welcome to Maurset and a brand new vacation home. Here you can breathe in harmony with nature, enjoy good qualities with views of enticing mountains, plains and valleys. Large, floor-to-ceiling windows give you the feeling of being in nature, even when you are sitting inside with your friends, playing games, reading a book, watching the northern lights and enjoying a cup of coffee or hot chocolate with cream. The cabin is located on a nature plot, so the feeling of being close to nature is even stronger.

In the summer months, you can go on long and short bike rides, hike on marked trails and pick cloudberries in the marshes. Take a refreshing dip in the nearby river and start the day fresh and lively. The area is the gateway to the wild Hardangervidda with great hunting, berry and fishing areas. The realm of the national park, which can lead you to new and spectacular nature experiences at any time of year. Hardangervidda is home to one of Norway's best kitesurfing areas. Or how about a trip on a dog sled or simply in and with nature? You can also visit the cozy village of Eidfjord or pass the wild, wet and beautiful waterfall Vøringsfossen, Norway's answer to Niagara Falls.

Right outside the door you will find great cross-country ski trails in winter. If you prefer to hit the slopes, the Sysendalen ski center is a good alternative and promises unforgettable active winter experiences!
