" 4/5 Pleasing The hotel is unique in a very good way, named accordingly as there are faces of King Ludwig all over the place in the hallway and restaurant. When we arrived the evening receptionist was very kind, spoke great english and he was dressed very suave. He is also involved in the restaurant as well, which the restaurant wasnt yet busy when we arrived so service was quite quick and we had our room number and key right away. The key could weigh you down while doing a lot of walking. Lol. The most interesting key set up, uou shouldnt have trouble finding it. There is no elevator. We had our room just on the second floor so it wasnt too bad and we were backpacking so no heavy luggage to take up flights of stairs. The room is not modern, there's a crystal chandelier and wall sconces and the bed was a good size in a small room. Definitely tight trying to move around. The bathroom is small also, the shower is super small but lots of hot water. We were there in February so a hot shower was a must. The restaurant was good, the staff was prompt, friendly, funny, easy to get along with and had an english written menu. The breakfast buffet was one of the cheapest priced per person buffet and had the best food of all the hotels we stayed in while in Europe. It was great. I really don't have anything bad to say about this hotel except it wouldn't be good for people with mobility issues. The room and bathroom are small and only News on TV in english."

"We had a fantastic stay here, service 1st class all round, food excellent (we were half board), free afternoon cakes were absolutely delicious, sauna suite brilliant. Our waiter Hr Ferenc was amazing. Maybe issue guest card on arrival without having to ask for it would be good. The free local buses and train were excellent for getting to and from our walks which were thoroughly enjoyable. All in all a wonderful weeks break, thank you. "

"The stay here was great. The property is nestled in the heart of history but is modern, great amenities and a team that is fabulous. I am someone who runs runs runs and tries to see all when I travel but this space asked me to slow down and enjoy it too, as I did. "

"Truly loved everything about this place. Our room was huge and incredibly clean. The beds were comfy enough and we could adjust the temperature in our room to our liking. Breakfast was included and was decent. Overall the hotel was very quiet and there’s an underground garage to park. It’s close to the castles and good restaurants. Just a note, the garage is VERY narrow. Like insanely, narrow."

"We were so impressed with the staff's helpfulness, friendliness and accommodating attitude - we actually wished we had booked a longer stay. Then there is the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel that was outstanding, plus the loads of amenities we didn't even get to sample due to our enjoying the slopes in Garmish so much. And we also revelled in the Amazing food + beer and wine. All in all, we felt like royalty staying at our winter palace :)"
