The screened back deck and sunroom offer picturesque views of a small lagoon and the Plantation Course fairway. Central air-conditioning, free WiFi, and a private washer/dryer round out the in-home essentials.

Located before the front gates of Wyndham Ocean Ridge, restaurants and shops are a swift walk from your home away from home. The advantages of resort life on Edisto are all at your fingertips. Do as much or as little as you choose. It’s your vacation.

Wyndham amenities are available for purchase at the Wyndham Cafe, but there is no guarantee due to limited passes per day. These amenities include access to three pools, tennis courts, gym fitness room, mini golf, playground and beach cabana.
This vacation rental is located in Wyndham Ocean Ridge Resort. No boats, trailers, motorcycles, mopeds, campers, RVs, or golf carts are allowed inside the resort.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Lovely little place!
Soothing interior, comfortable screened in porch and glassed in room next to it. Views of trees, water, golf course. Comfortable place to be especially when the weather outside is blustery. Great location for walking, too. We'd definitely stay there again on our next trip to Edisto Beach.

Such a sweet escape.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid Cottage. The sunroom and screen porch were our favorites. It’s settled in a very quiet neighborhood and close to all the eateries. We enjoyed the gas grill on several occasions and the master bathroom is spacious. It was a fun time! One key point is to remember to bring your travel pots and pans. There were very few there. This wouldn’t keep me from staying again though. We did really enjoy our stay for the week!

Great little cottage
Perfect set up for a family of 3. We did notice some dishes weren’t clean and some trash was left under the counters in the bathroom but we loved the cottage. We would definitely love to stay there again.

Great Edisto Vacation Spot
Loved the location and the clean modern decor. The views of the small lagoon and golf course from the sunny dining room and the screened-in porch were beautiful. The cottage was clean and well equipped (although a larger stock pot in the kitchen would have been nice). Both beds were comfortable. The location is within walking distance of restaurants, the marina, and other amenities. The team at the local Vacasa office was a pleasure to deal with.

A cozy little getaway!
Mermaid Cottage is a comfortable, cozy place to get away from it all! The sunroom was our favorite room, and we spent most of our time there. The screened-in porch was lovely and relaxing as well. The kitchen is nicely stocked. We cooked, grilled, and also tried several of Edisto’s good restaurants. There are many places to walk, and my dog and I tried them all! It is fun to hunt for shells on the beach, and a real treat for Molly to run off leash in the morning, which is allowed until May. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Charming cottage
The cottage was adorable and clean. I didn't like the fact that we were not able to bring or even rent a golf cart for this location, but other than that, we loved the view of the lagoon, and we enjoyed our stay.

Great Vacation Spot
This location really had everything we needed to stay for a week with a 3 yo. Though we did not need it, there was a high chair in the closet and the kitchen even had Tupperware for left overs. There were a few little issues upon arrival related to maintenance but the team came over in 24 hours to assist. I am very particular about cleanliness and I would rate this as a 4.5 out of 5 stars. 5 minute drive to the beach with a few restaurants in walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

So relaxing!!
We loved our stay at Mermaid Cottage. It has a lovely screened porch as well as a sun room with a dining table that overlooks the tidal pond. Two good sized bedrooms and bathrooms plus a well equipped kitchen made this a very comfortable stay. I will say the living room furniture is better suited to shorter family members but the extra pillows made it work. Everything is provided, even down to charging stations and plug in nightlights. Great thought has been given to making sure that a stay is comfortable and stress free. We would love to stay here again. :)

Lovely Cottage
A great little cottage for a midwinter getaway. Very clean upon arrival. Equipped kitchen with all the essentials. It would have been nice to have a working fireplace during the cold nights. There was a propane tank outside, but the pilot light was not on, and judging by cobwebs it had not been used in a long time. I would go back and enjoy the views from dining table and screen porch. The location was convenient to town, beach, and marina area. We will return.

Lovely Beach get away
Super cute cottage. Very clean, efficient.. with nice size TV’s.. Lovely screen porch. Would like to suggest adding a hose to the outside Spicket, to help with cleaning off beach sand. Also, the shower head in the guest bath room needs to be replaced. My husband to repair but it is old and needs to be replaced. The place is spectacular, though! Just letting owner know as a heads up. Beautiful vacation rental. Would stay again!!
