Cottage: 3005 Palmetto Blvd.

New appliances (refrigerator and dishwasher) and new deck! Three bedroom two bath cottage at Edisto! This cottage is one of the earlier homes with original tongue-and-groove paneling in some rooms. The home has been updated with new appliances, ceiling fans in all rooms, and central heat/air.

One bedroom has a queen bed and another has a set of twins and a full-sized crib. The third bedroom is small with a bunk bed set. . Guests must bring their own linens.

The dining room has a table for six. The deck has a table for 4. The front porch has a daybed. In addition, on this porch are four rockers, beach chairs, and toys and games. There is quite a collection of children's books about the beach and ocean, and puzzles and games, as well.

The cleaners are following all cleaning and maintenance guidelines as recommended during Covid-19. EPA number can be provided upon request.



Under the house is a wagon with many beach toys. Beach access is very convenient and the wagon can pull children or beach games such as bocce or paddle ball. The incredible bike trail is just a few steps away.

The property was easy to find and we were walking distach to the beach! There were come extra touches, like the toys and bikes available, books with local history, and the kitchen was well stocked!

Great Place
This is the second time I have stayed here. And, I plan to stay here again later this year and every year from now on as long as it is available. It is in a great location(a block and a half from Whaleys dive bar/restaurant). As I said in an earlier review, if you like rustic old style beach houses in a great location at a great price then this is it.

We loved our stay here! The house is older and well loved but it had everything we needed!
The house had everything we needed for a beach getaway and the location was perfect! One block away from a beach access and the house comfortably sleeps 8 people. The kitchen and bathrooms could use some updates but all the appliances worked fine!

The location is excellent, close to the beach and the bike path. While it could use a few updates, the house is very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed and more. We had a couple of questions during our stay, and the owner replied immediately with the answers we needed.

Been to edisto about 8 times. 1st time staying here. Loved the sun room and outdoor patio. Ate most of our meals on patio. Close walk to beach. We came for rest and relaxation. Amelia respondered promptly. Hope to come back again. Great place to stay.

Closest to the beach we have ever stayed in Edisto
As the description shows this isn’t the most up to date rental you could find but it was just right for what we were looking for-being close to the beach!!! It had what we needed for our stay, including beach chairs and assorted beach items, there are an assortment of beach-themed children’s books and there are games. The TVs are new and up to date. For us it was a comfy beach house, and we’d love if it was available for our next visit to Edisto.

Wonderful Place!
We love this place! We could glimpse the waves from the porch and hear them as well, and it's a block walk to the beach. I love the wooden walls in the main part of the house. Only two burners work on the stove, and you have to supply your own linens, soap and tp; but this house has a wonderful feel to it, and was very clean. The mattresses were firm, but soft enough to be comfy, so we all slept well. And we all saw dolphins down where the Edisto river meets the bay. A wonderful trip!

This was a great property for the price. It's a great location to fish out of: short walk to the beach, short drive to the inlet and right around the corner from Whaley's "Dive Bar and Restaurant". If you are the type person that wants modern, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you like value, location and rustic comfort, I would highly recommend it.

It was so peaceful at all times close to the beach deer's roamed the street at dusk which was cool to the kids I enjoyed my stay manager was always available and answered all my questions in text but I always feel like I left something undone but it was great

A good week in October
This is an older house, so we didn't expect fancy. But it had everything needed for a comfortable stay and we had a great week. The galley kitchen was a little tight if all four of us tried to work, but it had everything we needed. When the weather cooperated we loved having our meals on the deck. The property is only a couple of blocks from the ocean/sound so it was an easy walk for sunrise and sunset. Our host always responded with minutes for any questions we had.

Rustic Beach Cabin
We finally got to stay at the cabin. Originally we reserved this spot last October but had to change our reservations because we had a death in the family. Owner and VRBO worked with us to change our reservation. The cabin would work really well for a family with young children. Twin beds and a crib. Beach access 31 is just a block away. We are both 70 years old and really appreciated the few stair steps that are required to reach the front door. Wi-fi and air conditioning worked great ! We will definitely reserve this house again.

Everything but house was good
House was very clean. Only one person could go up front steps due to overhang of palmettos. Side again palmettos were overtaking one side. Side facing front vines growing up and srubbery. I would not recommend this house. It should be taken off your list. Bad need of updating. Looks nothing like picture.

Bed Bugs!
The owner needs to make way more maintenance visits to her own property: numerous light bulbs burnt out; wrong Wifi network and password (had been changed to Barracuda); inadequate or non-existent instructions; and BED BUGS! This should be corrected immediately and don't rent it until done. Is this clear enough?
