Lovely rustic cottage
We loved the location being steps to the beach. As other reviews have stated, this is an original cottage but has been well maintained and is comfortable and well stocked. Great communication with the owner. We would definitely return!

Easy and Relaxing
Back for a second time- love the little cabin on the beach-has everything you would need for a very laid back, easy, relaxing get a way. Not for those looking for fancy. Very charming and rustic. Love.

Fabulous view!!
This is an original, historic beach house on Edisto Island with a $1 million view! We loved sitting on the back covered porch and enjoying the ocean view. Beautiful sunrises and warm enough in November!

Loved this charming cottage on the beach! What a treat! The view is amazing, and it was super cozy. My husband and I left feeling relaxed and recharged. This place is an absolute jewel that leaves you pining to come back!

The Original Beach House
The house is a well set up step back to an original style Edisto beach house with all the modern amenities. The owners are clearly restoring close to its original state. We loved it. The porch is on the beach fantastic location. Great communication with our host. Easy in and out!

Sweet spot
What a lovely trip we had- the weather surprised us for November, and gave us a glimpse of a summer like stay. The location couldn’t be more perfect- you can watch the ocean all day long. You can sit in the shade or warm your body in the sun. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely Beachside Historical Home
My wife and I stayed for our 15th wedding anniversary. We were in such a peaceful spot on the beach and fell asleep to the waves crashing in on the sand. We will always remember this anniversary and left us longing for the next time we could come back again.

Great spot on the beach
Excellent location just steps from the beach. Rustic house, about 80 years old, but in great shape with all the modern conveniences. Could use a slight refresh in a few areas, e.g. new toilet seats and a better mattress, but overall a very good place to relax and enjoy the beach. Would definitely return in the future.

Edisto Beach circa 1950
Exactly what we expected, old timey beach house right on the ocean. My wife and I have been coming here for over 25 years. If you are looking for every "modern" convenience, my guess is you'll be disappointed, but as far as quaint, romantic, rustic, and nostalgic goes, this is the place for you!

Old Edisto Beach House
We loved staying at this beach house. It is an old Edisto beach house, with a wonderful back porch. It is right on the beach. Time just flew by. We are planning on coming back next year.

Outstanding Experience
We had a fantastic time staying at the beach house. The home was perfect for our family. The home is conveniently located. We had direct access to the beach and a grocery store nearby. The view was absolutely stunning! Roxanne did a great job communicating and answering all of our questions. We look forward to our next trip!!

We did have few small issues but got response quickly . This is very Edisto which we loved ! Laid back and you could see the beach and few feet away . Definitely going back next year!

Best Beach House Ever!!!
My family and I had the most wonderful stay in this lovely little beach house. The location is amazing in relation to both the local shops/restaurants as well as the actual surf! As a mother of two little ones, I loved not having to worry about lugging beach gear up and down massive staircases just to go out on the beach. The house itself is an original Edisto beach house and the simplicity and casual charm was exactly what we were looking for. In fact, I now plan to rent this house every year for as long as it’s available. In addition, the owner, Roxanne, was the best hostess we’ve ever had (and we’ve had many). Communication and responsiveness was spot on and she certainly went out of her way to make sure we had the VERY best vacation experience - thank you Roxanne!!

Spring Beach Getaway
The photos of the beach cottage don’t come close to doing it justice! The inside of the cottage takes you back to a relaxing slower time. From the original wood beams and walls to the clawfoot bathtub. Each morning I looked forward to having coffee on the back porch while watching the sun rise and listening to the waves. I was able to relax immediately from work and normal life (which usually takes multiple days). The cottage was the perfect backdrop for a wonderful micro beach wedding just off of the back porch. I would 100% stay here again when I’m in the area. It was magical.

I was so excited to find a charming, quaint, beach cottage ! I was happy to see the cottage has been saved to share its history with us. I love homes that give a glimpse into a simpler life, and the owners have kept a jewel in this home. It is perfectly placed with a beautiful full oceanfront view. The porch was a place to relax. The home was prepped with all the essentials we needed. Great surf fishing, and sunrises! It was cozy and comfortable. The best mini vacation we have ever had. The December weather was amazing.

One of the best vacations in years
I love everything about this beach house. Right on the beach, literally steps away! so cute inside and the porch is perfect to hang out in the evening with the sea breeze. I love how they’ve kept all the original flooring and style. It felt like how a Beach House should be and used to be. The shower outside was the best!! Edisto and this house it so relaxing - really felt like we were all able to relax and enjoy our time together. Thank you for sharing your home! We are already talking about 10 days next summer!!

Relaxed and Easy stay
This place is perfect if you are looking for sunrises on the beach. It has cabin vibes due to its special vintage roots as one of the oldest homes around there a neighbor informed us. My family would love to come back. For what it lacks in modern bells and whistles, it makes up for in charm, history, and superb location. The price was right too. Being able to afford a beachfront property allowed us to always be together and never have to leave anyone behind. Although this home isn’t your typical definition of “luxurious”, the real luxury is the time it gave my family together to relax and let concerns float out with the tide. Thank you, we would definitely stay again!

The location was perfect and the house was nice. We did have a issue trying to figure out the lighting and what switches operated which lights. Also, there was some type of plant that has sharp points on it at the door to the outside shower. The floor did not appear to have been swept prior to arrival as there was an abundance of sand on the floors. All in all though we would stay there again.

Good and Bad
Good - the location is great, the wifi is good, the appliances are all new and good., the owner responds very quickly when contacted Bad - this is not a place to stay is the weather is cold. We had to get very creative and borrow space heaters to stay close to warm. There are in fact 2 bathrooms but only 1 shower - I would say there is 1 and 1/2 baths. The lighting in the house is very bad - don't count on reading in bed.
