"Part of me doesn’t want to leave a great review because I want to keep this house a secret. Haha!! I spent much of my childhood on Edisto, and this house was great. The only thing worth mentioning is that if you are coming to stay for a long time, it might be worth bringing storage containers to keep your food. That’s always good anyway bc …. Summer - SC Bugs- but the house doesn’t have any empty cabinets- pantry for your personal food storage- that ends up all over the counters. This is also kind of typical of some beach places, but it felt worth mentioning. Some of the screens are missing on windows or may need repair (not owners fault bc they don’t know what they don’t know/ and any guest who isn’t used to screen doors might push the screen which can be hard to keep up with. But - the house was perfect for my family, and we will 100% rent again when it’s available. It was nostalgic- close and easy walk to the old pavilion- close to the public beach path- you can hear the waves from the house. Thanks for the memories. Please let us come back. (Also thrilled not to be paying the insane fees with companies like VACASA- your cleaning fee was super reasonable). "

"Jacki’s place felt like home the second we walked in. It was so cozy and clean. We loved the screened in porch for playing games and reading among the trees. The short walk to the beach was perfect and took full advantage of the beach chairs, umbrella, and beach wagon she left for us. The living area was so comfy for watching movies and relaxing after a day in the sun. It was also a short bike ride from The Nest where we had a lot of our meals. So delicious! Its central location was perfect for everything Kiawah had to offer. The island in general was beyond beautiful, clean and full of amazing nature. Zero complaints! "

"Having never been to Edisto before, I had no idea about the community where we'd be staying. The overall community felt incredibly friendly. The space itself was ideal for the needs of my friend and me. The furniture was cozy, the little patio was perfect for sitting outside, the kitchen, while small, had everything we needed for cooking (even a grater), and the beds rocked!!! We could walk to the seafood shop, restaurant next to it, and the boat/bike rental shop next to that. We bought great seafood and had an awesome kayak tour. State Park, with the best beach, was a really quick drive and then there were ample things to do, such as Botany Bay and ACE Basin (a little longer drive). My one thought would be to put a book together of area options, especially if the internet goes out as it did on my first day. I would absolutely stay again the next time I visit."

"Ssrvice was excellent- friendly and attentive. The grounds were beautiful and the lobby is one of the prettiest I've seen. All the retaurants we tried were very good."
