SURROUNDINGS
Stay in our 18th century historic farm building retreat combining the best of both city and country in Scotland’s festival capital city, Edinburgh. Lovingly restored by an artist and designer, the Far End is situated 4 miles from Edinburgh city centre and 1 mile from the bypass. This unique and peaceful location makes a wonderful base to explore Edinburgh and wider areas and comes with parking. There is a 20 min public bus route to Edinburgh Castle and the city centre, with an easy access bus stop 4 min walk away. A short drive from Waverley Station, the Far End is located next door to one of Edinburgh's oldest golf courses and sits nestled in the heritage landscape of Braid Hills and Hermitage, local nature reserve areas popular with walkers and families. A 20mins walk or quick bus ride will take you to all the coffee shops, gift boutiques, pizza and pubs of Morningside- Edinburgh’s local high street. Wider local outdoors areas include surfing at Bellhaven Beach (40 mins drive) climbing at Europe’s largest indoor climbing arena, Ratho (20mins drive) and skiing on the dry ski slope and walking in the Pentlands National Park (10mins drive) as well as numerous golf courses along East Lothian coast completes the location.

– Whilst washing up and stripping the beds at check-out would be appreciated, it is by no means expected.
– Quiet hours are between 10 PM and 9 AM. So please keep the noise down and respect the neighbours in the building.
– Please remember to close all windows and doors when leaving.
– Careful attention to the keys is extremely important. Guests are responsible for any additional costs resulting from misplaced keys or locksmith call-outs.
