Our second visit to this lovely cottage.
Our second visit to this lovely cottage. It's in an ideal location to visit either Edinburgh or Glasgow by train or to go further afield by car. A very clean property with excellent facilities. All extra precautions taken around the current Covid-19 situation contributed to the feeling of relaxation while we were there. We would thoroughly recommend staying here and the warm welcome was much appreciated after the long drive from Surrey. We hope to return in the future as we haven't finished exploring this area yet. This was a lovely cottage & the hosts Thomas & Clare were very welcoming & helpful.
This was a lovely cottage & the hosts Thomas & Clare were very welcoming & helpful. The living area was upstairs to make the most of the view of the castle, a very well equipped cottage & plenty of information where to eat & sight see. Being an Outlander fan this was great place for seeing a lot of the film locations & the cottage even had series 1 & 2 on DVD, so I was very happy. Great Place would definitely go back .

Great cottage and great location.
Great cottage and great location. Clean and had everything we needed. Only slight down side for us was that the lounge seating wasn’t the most comfortable. A minor point but depends how much time you spend ‘home’ rather than out.

Garden Cottage is a lovely characterful cottage, with amazing views over Linlithgow Palace.
Garden Cottage is a lovely characterful cottage, with amazing views over Linlithgow Palace. The kitchen living room is cosy and welcoming. The selection of games provided was great for entertaining the kids. The mattress for the travel cot was the best quality I've come across, and our son slept much better because of it, compared to other travel cots. The only downside is that the upstairs is a sun trap in hot weather and can get very hot. Overall, it is a lovely cottage in a convenient central location, and I would highly recommend it.

An excellent location - central location in Linlithgow. Close to railway station with fast link to Edinburgh. Very well equipped cottage, very comfortable, private. Nice garden at back. Easy to park. Mattresses slightly on the firm side but we slept well.

Garden Cottage is well placed in the centre of Linlithgow behind the owners property so it is quiet.
Garden Cottage is well placed in the centre of Linlithgow behind the owners property so it is quiet. It has its own parking space. The layout has the bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor and living space above with good views. It is well provided with cutlery, crockery and equipment. A good WiFi signal is available. Mobile phone signal (EE) is good also. The bed mattresses are quite firm but very comfortable. The property is heated by night storage heaters so as a consequence the bedrooms were overheated at night necessitating the doors being left open. Obviously in the summertime this isn't a problem. The beds whilst comfortable were a problem because of length. The double bed had a raised foot rail so that one of us (5'11") could not sleep in it and had to use the single bed.
